[From an idol to a waiter at a coffee shop. Ren's not really happy about this change, but at least it's a job that seems to fit him well. At least he got to make customers happy and look good. It could be worse. He could be some kind of a storage manager something where he couldn't appeal with his looks.

Besides, he could still sing and perform from time to time, it wasn't like he needed to stop just because he was here.

[It seems like she's been having a recent surge of idols working for her, and it could be Natsuki's fault. Since Natsuki always talks about these losers and how great they are! So Ren was easily recruited. He should thank Natsuki for stopping him from ending up in a storage manager life (not that there is no heavy lifting of flour here).

She has observed his business strategy of flirting with customers, which rolls in quite a bit of money. At least he's more amiable than Tokiya? So when she approaches him during his break--]

You are a professional, no? [AT SINGING.]

[Ren really is grateful for Natsuki and Vietnam for getting this chance to work at the place. He would have really been at a loss, had he gotten a job that only used muscle and made him smell bad. Lifting flour was not a problem at all.

He smiles when he's talked to and nods as he stops humming the song.]

Yes, that's right. I work in the same band as Natsuki.

[He could've worked at IKEA. Imagine him in their uniforms. What a life he would've lead!

It's a pity he had to stop humming though, but this is pretty important. She's only really wrapping her head around this idol business now, since she only knew Natsuki initially.]

Ah! I see. Do you think Natsuki, Tokiya and yourself will ever have a performance here?

[Oh. Uh. What a shame the opportunity went by!!]

I don't see a problem with that. Of course, it would be better should we get out other members as well, but I'm sure we could work something out: if not together, then as individuals.

[ALAS. But then she owns IKEA here so MAYBE, REN. MAYBE IF YOU'RE IN BIG TROUBLE (don't get into trouble!)]

It would be interesting to see! A real life performance, no? [The idol groups sometimes get around to doing it, but a boy band hasn't really.] Is it common for you and the others to do solo performances?

[He will try to be on his best behavior.]

Of course. A live performance brings out the best in singers. [Not that there was anything wrong with performing on the radio or tv, but the feeling was so much different on a stage in front of people.] Yes. While we are a group, we do a lot of individual work which also includes singing solos.

[WHAT A GOOD IDOL someone should learn from him. Natsuki and Ren to be her favourites (whoa).]

I have been to a few before, the energy is very exciting. [Those she was dragged to though, but she did enjoy them.] Curiously, as a group you all would sing similarly, no? What of your individual projects?

We do have our individual styles, yes, but our composer is very good at mixing them together when making our songs. [Haruka, why aren't you here. Ren already misses his little lamb.] For example, my style resembles Jazz a lot. My instrument of choice is a saxophone, so it comes naturally.

Oh! How talented! [Professional composers impress just as much as famous idols. Without composers, idols wouldn't have a chance to shine either. Not unless they write their own music, but again, that makes them a type of composer. Vietnam has heard of Haruka, though, but the details she got was that she was partnered to Tokiya for composition.] Jazz and saxophone, that would be nice to hear. Do you have your saxophone here? [Don't worry, Ren. If you don't, either they can request it from the Landlord, or she can just buy him a new one while he's saving up to settle down. She's loaded.]

[It would be interesting to talk about Haruka with Tokiya, to be honest. Interesting and confusing.]

Unfortunately, I didn't have it with me. I'm thinking of saving for one.

[ Tokiya doesn't work here, but he's become a frequent visitor when he's not practicing or working his own job at the bookshop.

So he would enter this time without as much as a word, pull up a chair in the most unobtrusive corner of the cafe, and start reading.

He hasn't even bought anything. Maybe Ren could go over and correct that? ]

[Ren usually prefers to serve beautiful ladies and have a nice chat with them, but seeing as he's already served those that are current customers, he can spare some time to serve Tokiya as well.

So, after Tokiya has settled down, Ren walks over.]

So, what can I get you, Ichi? [With a small pause, he adds.] The crepes today are delicious.

[ Tokiya lifts his eyes from his book about 0.5 seconds faster than he would otherwise have, given that it's Ren of all people. ]

She got you to agree to work here?

[ Not ordering... yet, since Vietnam already knows him and he can usually sit here without being forced to order anything.

Why not? It's a good place to work at, considering some possibilities.

_{[ Kotori happened to be visiting the coffee shop to get some kind of pastry that she liked a lot since she wasn't much of a coffee drinker. She was on her way out the door when she heard someone humming, which wasn't too unlikely here or anything, but it was a voice she hadn't heard before! She couldn't help but stop and look around for the source of the nice voice.

Of course then she realized that the humming was coming from this guy, who looked like he was on break, and that...she was staring. Oops, maybe he even noticed her staring while he was humming? Kotori got a little embarrassed and decided to apologize just in case he happened to notice her! ]}

U-Um...sorry!! I didn't mean to...ah--That was a really nice song!!

[Ren hadn't noticed anyone watching him, so to be apologized to had him confused. After seeing the person behind the voice, Ren smiled with a bright smile. What a cute girl.]

It's not a problem at all. If I would have wanted privacy, I wouldn't be humming here. [More like, he did that unconsciously sometimes, no matter what time and place.] But thank you, for the compliment.

_{[ Kotori smiled, perking up since this guy said that he didn't mind that she was listening to him hum, not to mention that he seemed to take the compliment nicely! ]}

I suppose so, but still! _{[ She giggled happily before continuing. ]}

I'm glad my voice pleases you, lady. [He gets complimented a lot on his voice, but never is he bored when a pretty girl says so.]

I'm also a singer. It's nice to meet colleagues, namely one's as beautiful as you. [He closes his eyes with another smile.] My name is Ren Jinguji.

_{[ Kotori smiled sweetly at him, unsure if he was an idol as well or just someone who enjoyed singing, but either way she did enjoy his voice!

...And she wasn't expecting to be complimented like that, especially since it usually took her a few moments to pick up on compliments from others, but he seemed to be straight to the point. So of course, her cheeks went a little pink. ]}

_{[ She had never really paid much attention to the cafe. It was just another landmark on her way to the local shrine. She might have stopped in once or twice for a drink and a snack but it hadn't been memorable. And that day was much the same. She passed on her way to the shrine, not planning on stopping in.

However she did pause as she heard a melody floating through the air. Turquoise eyes turned to look at the man standing there. He looked to be one of the waiters. ]}
