Have the first test drive for the new year!!
TEST DRIVE MEME

SO HOW DOES IT WORK?
► STEP 1; Post a comment with a character that's not in HH as if they're already in the setting; alternative version, post character who is in HH. Scenarios if you need 'em!
► STEP 2; Tag around and get a feel for your characters, whether you're just voice testing or planning to actually app them in!
► STEP 3; Post this all over your plurk and get people to join in on this jolly good fun. Don't forget: it's mandatory.
Just copypasta-ing from people on the meme comm

So instead Yoh dedicates his time to do what he likes to do the most, after looking at trains and talking with spirits: he relaxes under the shadow of a tree. And tries to not think on how now he's no different from any other human. It's an interesting experience, to be honest, but not one he really wanted to have. To not even be able to summon shikigami makes him feel pretty helpless and pathetic. He notices someone approaching the other side of the tree, unable to sense furyoku Yoh's left having no idea who it is, so he has to shift and crack an eye open to see who it is.
There's still something about seeing his son all grown up when he hasn't even seen him as a baby yet. And part of him actually still hesitates to try to reach for the other, but he thinks that it's probably better to at least make sure that his teenager dad is there.]
The shade feels great today, it's perfect to relax for a while, don't you think?
no subject
[Dear god, it couldn't be... Hana freezes the moment he hears the stupidly familiar voice, and soon slowly turns his head to look around the other side of the tree before jumping into a position to fume at will. Though already, he could tell that he was still finding the weirdo calm attitude of his teenage dad's getting on his nerves.]
Gah! Don't sneak up on me like that! [never mind that's not really the case.] What are you doing here?
no subject
[Yoh moves to sit up, carelessly laughing with that calmness only he can pull off. Even when he's all weird inside, but who wouldn't? He's out of his comfort zone and gets to meet his son being almost his same age.]
It's just such a great day that I thought I could come and relax for a while.
[Nevermind that they both should be at the school, Yoh knows that neither of them really cares about that. Specially not here.]
You thought something similar, right? Want to come over here and join me?
no subject
Though if it weren't for that, he'd be more likely to kick Yoh as a reply, which he looks pretty close to doing anyway as he is getting more pissed off with just listening to him.]
Who the hell would want to do that! And there's no way I was thinking the same thing as you! Just leave me alone already.
no subject
He would lie if he said he got what exactly Hana's problem with him was, but it would also be a lie to say that he was worried about that. Most probably the kid had good reasons for it, just as Anna had good reasons to get angry with him and hitting him. After all, Hana seemed to have taken a lot from her.]
So you didn't? I see, I'm sorry, didn't mean to make you uncomfortable. It still is a great day to just sit and relax, it's not as if we can do much more here.
[He lays back again, eyes closed and arms behind his head. Smiling happily. Surely Hana didn't mean to leave him alone physically, and if he did... Too bad, Yoh was happy where he was.]
no subject
Option one was to stomp off, but it was a little too late for that since he was not thinking straight. And option two? To make it happen himself. This was his spot first, after all. No amount of reason would convince him otherwise.]
Uncomfortable is an understatement. But I don't think you heard me the first time, go relax somewhere else! [And whether his words are warning or not, he aims to kick Yoh. In the head, in the gut, in the leg, he didn't particularly care about where he was aiming so long as it hit.]
no subject
... You really remind me of your mother.
[Pause.]
Just as strong and scary as her, not as cute because you're a boy but still cute.
[And he smiles, despite being absolutely sure that his comment is going to earn him another kick.]
no subject
But as soon the thought occurs to him, he's twitching again at how calm his dad stays in demeanor and sound. Not to mention that it's really not awesome to be called cute because he is a boy. This time, though, he moves to punch him upside the head.]
... Don't call that that either! It's CREEPY.
no subject
See? You even react like she does whenever I think that she's cute.
But you're right, you're way too old for it to not be creepy. Should I have said handsome then?
[After all he himself would feel it as creepy if his father arrived and told him that he was cute. Then again compared to Hana he just can't compete.]
no subject
[huff] You should say nothing. I don't want to hear about what you think.
no subject
That can be fixed easily. It's harder with Anna, she always knows what I'm thinking.
[Even without her mind reading power, then again Yoh isn't technically that hard to guess. Or so he makes others think. And of course he's still talking and still not leaving, which he's very aware of.]
no subject
Mom's a... psychic? [There's a horrifying thought. She was already scary as it was but this brought it to a whole new level. Hana outwardly tensed, before it occurred to him how he had just jumped to the stupidest of conclusions. She was known for many accomplishments but she couldn't be super human on top of it all, right? Now way.]
[pause]
No, it doesn't matter. Anyone could tell what you're thinking! Get lost already.
no subject
Maybe Hana did get something from him... Though Yoh chooses to not comment on that, both for Anna's sake and because he knows the boy won't appreciate it. Instead, he just laughs as he tells him to leave once more before answering calmly.]
I don't want to.
no subject
Truth be told, however, he knew he couldn't have expected anything less. The grown up version of his dad was the same way, always stealing the minimal comfort he had being at home or anywhere else. But this time, in this place, Hana would rather be damned than let it happen again.]
Argh! I don't care about that. Move. It. Before I make you.
no subject
Sorry, but I really have no wish to move.
[He already looks all relaxed and in peace again, like before Hana arrived. Of course, though, he knows enough of Hana to know that he's basically picking up a fight with the kid -it feels so weird to think of someone that's only a few years younger than him as a "kid"-, and that at this point either a fight will start, or Hana will stomp away angrily.
Yoh is ready for either option happening, which means that all the relaxed and calm appearance is nothing but a facade. If Hana tries to hit him again, this time he's not going to just take it and let the other keep going. Fighting physically is something Yoh doesn't appreciate, but he's quite capable either way, even without spirits and even if he ran away from Gushi Kenji, he still learned enough to be able to fight without any help.]
This area isn't yours nor mine, Hana. You can't make me leave, and neither I can make you leave. Either you share or you leave, I won't stop you.
no subject
[Hana stomps his foot to show that he is serious but in doing so only looking more childish. Of course it was a fight now. It's not like he would turn around and stomp off because it was a better option. After all, he's never learned how to share and his personality was too strong to leave anything be, so even now he wasn't going to either.
Instead, after the stomp of the one foot, he lifts the other to stomp right where Yoh was laying down again. Or attempt to?] --Listen to this!

no subject
When he can breathe again, or at least in huffs and puffs of air intake, he grumbles half-words at Yoh but nothing he says really makes any literal sense beyond the angry tone. He's a sore loser to say the least.]
