How it works:
➜ Your character is going about their business when suddenly... oop, mistletoe.
➜ Double oop, someone else walked under at the same time.
➜ Maybe this is usual mistletoe and they can just joke about it and awkwardly shuffle off.
➜ Oooooor maybe it's cursed mistletoe and they can't leave until they kiss each other.
➜ Good luck with that!

There is a moment when Naruko sees her face coming towards him, her lips puckered up, that he freezes and thinks that this is when he is going to die.

But then instinct takes over and he shuts his eyes tight and leans in for the kiss!! YES.]

Poor, sweet, simple Onoda-kun. It's a Christmas party! With lots of mistletoe!! LOOK AT ALL THE CUTE GIRLS JUST WAITING TO BE KISSED!

[He clenches his hand into a fist, delight coloring his face. Oh, sorry about your eardrums too buddy.]

I mean... isn't that what people usually do with mistletoe...?

[Naruko turns to glower at Imaizumi.]

From the floor, he stares up at her, eyes wide.]

[He looks like he was hesitating for a moment? Or at least that's what she thought! She was going to stop since maybe he was joking, and then she'll feel embarrassed (like she already isn't lol)

BUT NO, HE'S GOING FOR IT so she steels herself again, and gives him a gentle kiss when he leans in. With "don't mess up" repeating in her head.]

For this! [He points right at Rei's face. It's so funny when he gets all flustered like this- this Rei-chan that likes to pretend to be so composed and put together all the time!

Nagisa gives him a smile- just a smile. It says nothing about whether he remembers anything or not, whether he had any ulterior motives.]

[Nagisa puts a hand over his forehead, pouting very greatly.] Momo-chan needs a lot of practice with this sort of thing, doesn't he...

[ He didn't notice, but his steps were sort of slowing down. ]

_{[ Maybe he was trying to go to the bathroom or something since he really did just want to get by. But...the more he tried, the more he realized that he physically couldn't, and not just because of Naruko. ]}

_{[ Imaizumi could definitely reach it since he was pretty tall, so he just had to stretch slightly. Though, whoever had put this mistletoe up there seemed to have some kind of really strong glue or force that was keeping it stuck up there. It's not like Imaizumi was that strong, but he certainly wasn't weak. The harder he pulled, the more it didn't seem to budge. ]}

Who did this....This is ridiculous. _{[ He failed getting it down, obviously. ]}

That could be pretty fun...and cool. UNLESS YOU GET STUCK WITH SENSEI OR SOMETHING.

[ Onoda had a feeling that any sort of tampering wasn't going to work with getting the mistletoe down. Only the hope that he might be wrong to keep him from stopping Imaizumi from wasting his time. When it's clear that isn't not coming down within the first moments of Imaizumi's attempts, Onoda ducks his head down, searching the floor. ]

Maybe we could keep trying to push until it lets us free?

[ This is REALLY ridiculous and embarrassing and a sick prank—but worst of all, it would put Imaizumi in the worst position, in his eyes. Just as Imaizumi might not want Onoda uncomfortable, Onoda himself is convinced that Imaizumi shouldn't have to be put through something like this with him either.

So Onoda tries again to move, trying to use his elbow and feet to step out of the mistletoe's range. He's stopped, of course. ]

_{[ He knew that this place, being as strange as it is, wasn't going to have an easy way out if there even was a way to get out of this. Imaizumi would rather he, himself get hurt trying to get out of this rather than Onoda since it wasn't even his fault, so of course he was trying to stop him. ]}

I don't think it's going to work. It would be quicker if we analyzed the situation to find the fastest way to get out of this.
