➜ Your character is going about their business when suddenly... oop, mistletoe.
➜ Double oop, someone else walked under at the same time.
➜ Maybe this is usual mistletoe and they can just joke about it and awkwardly shuffle off.
➜ Oooooor maybe it's cursed mistletoe and they can't leave until they kiss each other.
➜ Good luck with that!

<sub>[ Unsuspecting Haruka was standing under a doorway with mistletoe underneath it, though luckily, she hadn't been caught quite yet by anyone strange. She didn't know it was above her as she had been pretty oblivious to it this entire night.

She did notice Natsuki in the distance maybe talking to someone or doing his own thing, but she thought she made eye contact and then decided to wave at him. Obviously, that wave meant she wanted to just say hello, but it was also like it was an invitation to come over, and well...she might have not done that had she known what was above her. ]</sub>

Shinomiya-san! Hello...I wanted to ask if you knew why everyone was acting strange today?

_{[ She had probably seen a few people kiss here and there under doorways, but she didn't make the connection just yet. ]}

[It wouldn't even take as much as a blink of an eye to get Natsuki to gravitate toward Haruka, but the wave does the trick as he catches sight of her and makes his way over to where she's standing to give her company. It'd be a terrible sight to see her be all by herself after all.

And she has a question for him too! How could he not answer? But as he thinks about what she just said he finds himself not quite sure of what she means. Strange...?]

Have people been acting strange? I haven't really noticed... [He's been a little too distracted with all the cute decorations everywhere as well as the food. He hums to himself, beginning to think if he's seen anything out of the ordinary.] Strange, strange... no, I don't think so? Everything feels very normal. Or maybe not that, but... --ah, I know! It feels romantic!

<sub>[ She was going to apologize for asking since it was probably a silly question. Haruka still felt like something was up as she had seen more public displays of affection, specifically kisses, today than she had probably in her whole life in person.

Maybe he was right about it just being romantic, but she couldn't help but wonder why since some people who kissed each other didn't seem too happy about it. Maybe it was just her imagination... ]</sub>

L-Like...everyone's in the holiday spirit or something? I'm not sure I understand how that could be romantic...?

[Too bad Natsuki is enough of a ditz that he would not equate unhappiness to kissing. Kissing is a happy thing! You do that with people you love or really like, and it tends to be a very romantic thing. That could be the only answer to why she thought things were a bit strange.]

Yes! People do lots of romantic things on Christmas. It's a very good day for it, isn't it? [Spending time together with special people in the snow, eating hot chocolate, cuddled up by a fire.

Someone you love. A sort of fond yet distant look creeps over Natsuki's face.]

Kissing someone you love must be very nice.
