Ah, the shameless (shameful?) classic. Happy holidays, Holly Heights.



How it works:
➜ Your character is going about their business when suddenly... oop, mistletoe.
➜ Double oop, someone else walked under at the same time.
➜ Maybe this is usual mistletoe and they can just joke about it and awkwardly shuffle off.
➜ Oooooor maybe it's cursed mistletoe and they can't leave until they kiss each other.
➜ Good luck with that!

Hope you also like accidentally being nudged just a few extra inches under mistletoe.]

Natsuki. I didn't know you were around here. [ Yeah this was normal. This was fine.

He's just moving with the nudging because he why the hell not? It's not like it's any different than usual. ]

--oh! I'm sorry, Syo-chan! [And he lets him go just slightly. Except no, he just weakens the strength of his hug. His arms are still wrapped around him though.]

Have you seen the decorations? They look very nice!

All of the Christmas decoration? Yeah, I agree. I like this time of year. Everything always looks so different and unique. Did you put any up at your house?

[ At least he could breathe now. He could talk normally and act like everything else isn't happening. ]

Everything's always so pretty on Christmas! Our tree at home is very very big! Hinata-kun is very excited for Christmas. And Kazuki-kun and Souma-kun have been doing a lot of planning for what to cook!

Cooking they aren't letting you be a part of. Since we don't get to do things like this usually, it's nice that we can now. [ Although the thought of doing it without Kaoru or Natsuki was still setting in, really.

His eyes went up above them to look at the decor around them. It was pretty and festive. After everything on Halloween, he shouldn't be surprised that this was also pretty big. They even hung festive plants from the garland and lights--

... wait. THAT PLANT!

No it was fine. It was just a stupid tradition. He didn't have to do anything. Natsuki probably hadn't seen ...no. There's no way he did. His pink undertones were starting to overtone as the blush crept up on his face.]

[Syo why are you so cruel. Natsuki's enthusiasm immediately deflates.]

Th-they said I could help...! [Okay, Kazuki wasn't too sure about the idea but Syo doesn't need to know that.] Souma-kun says I have a lot of potential, so maybe they'll let me bake cookies or something small... Syo-chan, don't be meeean! [He whines and immediately lets Syo go, but as he tries to take a grumpy step away Natsuki wavers for a second. That's weird, he can't move his feet? Did he step in gum or something? It must be awfully sticky to keep his large body in place.]

Um-- Syo-chan, I think I stepped in something. I'm stuck?

[ It couldn't just be mistletoe, could it? It had to also FORCE IT.

Would Natsuki even kiss him since he was mean to him? He didn't want to think about things like thissss. Rubbing the back of his neck, he looked down, starting to turn pink right around his cheeks. ]

I'm not being mean on purpose. Souma's a pretty good cook and I already warned him. If he still lets you do it, that's on him. Just warn me if you do. [ He has to prepare his body.

Before he forgets, not that he can, he points up above them.]

You're probably stuck because of that.

[Why does he have to warn Syo if he ends up cooking? That really doesn't sound fair. Natsuki is growing rather grumpy about this whole little argument, and being stuck in place for some strange reason isn't very fun. However just as is expected of him, Natsuki's ill temper quickly fades as his curiosity has him looking up, and right above them happens to be mistletoe.

...huh? They're stuck because of that? But that doesn't make sense.]

That's just a plant though, isn't it? Does mistletoe drop something sticky? Is that why I got stuck?

[As he looks down though, he begins to notice Syo's face has turned a very cute shade of red. This is very, very weird.]

Syo-chan?

You know the tradition for them, don't you?

[ He thought Natsuki would know that. When he hears his name he almost wished there was a way to stop existing, or get him to stop looking at him while he's red. This dumb mistletoe wouldn't let him move to turn away or get out of Natsuki's line of sight at all. This was the worst.

Syo tried to grab at the rim of his hat in a way where he could use his arm to over most of his face and with that the blush. ]

This mistletoe is probably annoyingly special.

[ That was such a weird thing to say to someone who's just standing around being on his best behavior. ]

What other reason would you have for standing under that?

[ How was he suppose to know that was hanging above him besides actually paying attention to what was happening around him? ]

If you're not here for the festivities might I recommend moving out from under that plant? If you stand under it you have to kiss someone.

[ Shoving his hands in his pockets, he tries to turn to move-- only to find he can't. He had no plans of kissing anyone, but now he couldn't move. Was it too late?

[ A kiss from her would break this? This was exactly what he didn't want. It wasn't even like staged kisses, but he could pretend it was, couldn't he? No, that was impossible. ]
