TEST DRIVE MEME

Want to app, or maybe you've already got one written up? Maybe you want to try before you buy? This is the meme for that, in the official pre-opening test drive meme! Of course, it's unfair to throw you into a sea without some life vest, so some prompts for possible situations have been given to you, and are as follows. These can all be in either log style, text, voice, or video; it's up to you!

YOUR OPTIONS

THE HOUSING GATE. While your new home is extremely lovely with a well stocked fridge and french doors and a carpet you could probably sleep comfortably on, especially if you're married and don't want to deal with awkward bed sharing, it's nice to go out every once in a while and explore the area. You do have a new car you know. Maybe you're a kid, joy riding, or taking you family on a little trip through the rows of houses that all look suspiciously alike. Or, perhaps, you've brought a friend along on a trip to somewhere else (you are running out of that low-fat butter you bought recently), maybe it's even a hitch-hiker! The possibilities are endless, but one thing is certain no matter the scenario: you're going to be stuck in this car for a while.

THE SHOPPING GATE. You're at work. Yeah, you've got a job now, working the 9 to 5, making money to buy that expensive food you like so much. Where do you work? Who are you working with? Do you like your boss? The answers to those questions are up to you. You should really pay attention to that customer coming up to you though. Since that is what you're getting paid for and all.

THE PLEASURE GATE. There's a show going on, although as you watch, the NPCs performing it really aren't up to snuff. Their choppy legwork and monotonous musical numbers leave much to be desired. It's really quite boring to see La Favola d'Orfeo so brutally murdered by untalented, robotic, minions such as these. Maybe texting is in order. Maybe walking out and leaving, catching another show or taking a stroll is in order? They really ought to hire different people to put these things on.

THE ALUMNI GATE. That obnoxious ringing alerts you that school has started yet again. Why do they make you come to this place when all the stupid teachers do is yammer about random things that no one really cares about. Since when did the economy really matter, anyway? Are you going to sit here and take this? Or walk around the school? The boring lady up front isn't really going to notice. Maybe you should go to lunch or chat up some school chums? Your youth isn't going to last forever, you know.

WHATEVER YOU WANT, BRO. Use your imagination and get creative on your own terms! This doesn't count as being in game completely, so feel free to take some liberties with events that could have happened, people you could have met! Just remember to stick to game structure and the rules.

She could have sworn she was just killed. Or was that a dream? Man, this is screwed up. So, Holly Heights, have a woman cautiously looking around the neighborhood, trying to figure out exactly what is going on. ]

[Jane's never really gone to school before. It was too risky for someone of her status, and after the assassination attempts? Her father started being even stricter about where she could go and how often she could leave the house.

Jane snuck out anyways, but now she was free to run around as a normal teenage girl, with no stupid boys and stupid games and stupid, disgusting aliens watching her every move. It was...nice, even if she really wasn't relaxed at all. The lunch period was pretty relaxing at least, and she had enough cookies to share, which was done deliberately.]

[ THE DOCTOR IS IN.

Please don't go to see her if you have just a papercut. Or do to just annoy her. It's whatever. She'll be here all day. ]

[ This human thing really was so odd and she wasn't yet used to it. It was because of this that she wanted to go fast and without her wings, it wasn't even physically possible anymore so she had to find her kicks elsewhere.

Which is why it was a bad idea that someone told her she had a car.

So that meant she was up for testing her own - though she'd never driven before - as soon as possible. She'd asked someone for the basics on how to drive and that was it. RD was off with the keys with a grin on her face and hellbent on being able to drive her totally awesome car.

Either stop her, join her or get out of the way. Someone's going on a joyride. ]

[Rarity just so happens to be out this fine day in the shopping district, carrying around some simply gorgeous bolts of cloth in a tidy little sparkly basket. Now, she simply must find the absolute, most perfect gems for her designs, or all her work will simply be RUINED.

[ B SIGH, SCHOOL. Yozora goes through it without making any friends, as usual. Throughout the day, she'll either be keeping to herself, eating alone, or sleeping on her desk during breaks. It's a good thing she has her imaginary friend to talk to after classes! One might overhear her in an empty classroom being unusually cheerful. ]

I don't know, Tomo-chan. Everything was going so well back home, too... Haha, don't joke like that! Really, Tomo-chan, I'm serious.

[ C This could be anywhere. While no one's looking, Yozora looks left and right before patting a small kitten and giving it some milk she bought from a vending machine. ]

Hey, little fella. How are you, today? Here, you go, it's nice and cold... [ it meows ] Meow...

[By this point he has gotten tired of trying to figure the ridiculousness of the mystery that is the refrigerator light (does it always stays on or not?) and has redirected his attention to something else. It is time to be outside, he decides.

The car has proved itself to be an interesting thing in the past as well, quite different from one he has sat in, but has never gotten a chance to ride in one. Not that he is able to get the door open to the car sitting in front of his home no matter how hard he tugs on a door handle. Things are never easy.]

A. Let's not ask how a five-year-old got the keys to the car—Luke has his ways. And, well, it's a new and mysterious device. He can't not investigate this.

And so, if anyone happens to spot the kid unlocking the car and entering it and is rightfully concerned because wow that's illegal—well, have no fear. While he's figured out how to start it up, he isn't driving it (yet), but rather, he's fiddling with all the buttons and whatnot. For science! Or info, whatever.]

Ah, so that does that... Hmm, what about this...?

[Never mind that he can't even see above the steering wheel. SOMEONE GET HIM OUT OF THERE BEFORE HE ACTUALLY STARTS DRIVING.]
