See? So you sit right here... [Pushes down onto a bench] ... and I'll get something from that vending machine over there, okay?

[Pushed. Sits.]

But I can go with you! [Even if you know what Mike would pick.]

What's the point? The machine's right there! I'll be back in a jiff.

[livefaster]

... okay. [Sitting and waiting, then.]

[dieharder]

[Nods and turns to walk up to the machine, stopping halfway and looking over his shoulder just to make sure Mike is staying put.

Walks the rest of the way then, picks out a couple sandwiches for the both of them and comes back in a couple minutes.]

[Do you see him wagging his tail, Chuck.

Ears perked up and wagging his tail?

No, because he's not a dog, but he's looking very intently at that sandwich.]

[He can see them metaphorically.

Unwrapping it for Mike, just in case. Then he hands it over with a smile.]

[Oh man oh man oh man wagwagwag

Grabs it!] Thanks, Chuckles! You're the man!

[Cause drunk Mike is still polite Mike.]

Si'down! [Taps bench beside him]

[Yeah you better thank him.]

I will I will, calm down! [Takes the seat, unwrapping his sandwich too.]

[A nudge of his shoulder against Chuck's when he sits down, munching on the sandwich.

It's cold, it's kind of funky tasting, but for someone coming from Motorcity and with a stomach asking for something to process the alcohol with, it's delicious.]

[Munches down his sandwich in big and quick bites, not because he's that hungry, but because he's Chuck, and he hadn't eaten in a while anyway. And as far as vending machines go, he won't complain either.]

That was great! [A pleased sigh, and he tosses his wrapping in the bin next to him.] Feeling better now?

[livefaster]

[Eating his own just as fast cause seventeen year olds with big stomach and in this case a need to process the alcohol off with all the accelerated heart rate.]

Hit the spot, I think! [Leans shoulder to shoulder.] Thanks, man.

No problem. [Leaning back on the bench. Hopes Mike will just doze off now and not try and climb onto more wild animals.]

[The lions look particularly fluffy, though.

Look there are even little simbas.
