[housing gate, option 1]

[This isn't the gallery. At least, not a part of the gallery that Mary's ever seen, that's for sure. Not that she's complaining--if anything, this is great, it's exciting and there's just so many new things to look at! So, Holly Heights, you'll have a very curious young lady on your hands now as she walks around and explores: poking at cars parked in the driveways, kneeling down and touching the flowers and grass in someone's yard, going up to the windows of different houses and peering inside...]

[housing gate, option 2]

[At some point, Mary has gotten her hands on some chalk, and is sitting down either in the middle of the sidewalk, the driveway, maybe even somewhere by the pavement of the road despite the potential hazards of cars passing through. If you look, you'll find that she's drawing different things that come to mind--flowers, a sun, rabbits...rather creepy looking dolls...]

[ooc: Guess who is hideously new to this I know there was a Mary here before, but in the case of this test drive, she has no memories of her prior stay here. (Also I haven't decided yet what ending to primarily take her from...)]

[ Not in the street. Again.

This is uncomfortably familiar. At least there's no cars at the moment.

Still, she'll call out from the sidewalk. ]

Huh? [Mary looks up from what she's drawing--a yellow flower--to see who is calling for her. She stares in surprise for a moment, before she breaks out in a wide grin, jumping up from where she had been kneeling on the ground.]

Ib! There you are! [Hello Ib, have one very excited to see you friend coming towards you--as soon as she's close enough, she's reaching out to take Ib's hands. To Mary, it doesn't feel like it's been too terribly long since she last saw Ib (by comparison to the other, perhaps), though upon first arriving here, she hadn't been sure where Ib was.] I was wondering where you were! Did you get lost somehow?

[Mary the person who is probably lost here is you...]

[ It's been months since Ib had seen Mary. Since she left and they had to worry about what that means. She smiles as Mary takes her hands. Everything will be okay again they can all be together again -- just like she wished at tanabata.

Then it starts to sound like Mary doesn't remember her previous time here. Ib shakes her head and the smile on her face fades. At least she has the book. So she can at least tell her about it. ]

Did you just get here?

Yeah! Isn't this place great? There's so many interesting things here! [Like those cars that were passing by earlier!

...But then she seems to notice that Ib's not smiling anymore, and that kind of worries her a little. Mary doesn't know just how much Ib knows yet--about the gallery, about her, so...] Is something wrong, Ib?

[ The gallery is one subject Ib always tries to avoid, especially with Mary. This might not be the best place but it's a better place than the gallery so she can be happy for that.

Ib shakes her head again but this time she moves forward to hug Mary.

It doesn't matter if she doesn't remember. Mary is still Mary, and Ib can tell her about everything later. That's why they made the book, after all. ]

[For a second, Mary's a little surprised, but then she beams and is quick to hug Ib back as well.]

See, now this place is even better with you here! [She's glad to have a familiar face around, and from she can see, it doesn't look like Ib has found out her secret yet...oh, but wait--] What about Garry? Is he here too?

[ Ib pulls back and nods. ] For a long time.

[portraitor]

A long time? Really? [Frowning a little in confusion.] It doesn't feel like it's been that long since I saw you...

[wordsidk]

[ she's going to find out sooner of later so there's no point trying to hide it. ] It's been months since we've seen you.

[ just passing by~ and smudging a chalk drawing accidentally-on-purpose on the way with the heel of her boot. haha!! ]

[Wh--hey!! Mary looks up, shooting a pout at her.]

That was our best one! Why did you have to go and step on it? [Why would you do this you horrible person...]

Automatic reaction! I thought it was some kind of ugly earth creature and stepped on it before it could show off its mug and blind someone. You're welcome!

[How dare you call her dolls ugly! Mary actually stands up now to stomp her foot down in frustration.]

It's not ugly! That was my favorite one and you ruined it!

Reeeeeeeeally. 'Cause from where I'm standing, I improved it!

[ tempted to copy and stomp down on the other chalk draws, hmm~ ]

[ she's just passing by on her way to the park to feed some pigeons when she spots Mary drawing on the sidewalk. Kobato doesn't really think of the hazards of cars passing, because all she sees is that someone is drawing pretty pictures with chalk! ]
