TEST DRIVE FRICK YEAH

TEST DRIVE MEME

WHAT THE FUCK TO DO:

► STEP 1; Post a comment with a character that's not in HH as if they're already in the setting or alternative version, post character who is in HH. Scenarios if you need them!
► STEP 2; Tag around and get a feel for your characters, whether or not you're voice testing or planning to actually app them in!
► STEP 3; Post this all over your plurk and get people to get their big asses in here and force them to app or face the consequences. Oh, and I guess have fun. I suppose that's important, too.

I fail to see why you deem it necessary to try and startle me that way.

[Still, despite his words, he doesn't sounds too angry about it. If anything, he's a bit on the flustered side, or maybe even a bit deflated.

It it too much to ask that they can enjoy the time they've got without the dramatics? Of course it is, because it's Pascal. He knows this, but still... It's not easy. His eyes follow her motions as she sits -- close, but still not close enough -- and gives him that grin. He sees it as bright; brighter than the sun even, and Hubert has to suppress a smile of his own getting to see it.

There's just the slightest upward turn of lips before he turns to face forward and watch the lowering sun. If he doesn't look at her, it's more likely his heart will stop racing quicker, after all.]

I suppose I'll never quite understand just how things work in that head of yours.

[ she's not quite sure how Hubert still couldn't see why she wanted to surprise him with the news even though she had already relayed the reasoning: it was simply because she wanted to. there was no need for further explanation, she felt, not when it made perfect sense in her head to act so spontaneously as she usually does. it baffles her, but it isn't the first time her antics were lost on most people, which apparently makes her one heck of an enigma.

...which he all but admits to her mind being as such. her grin turns toothy as she leans forward, turning her head towards Hubert in... an odd and likely uncomfortable angle were it anyone else performing the action. ]

Nope, got one heckuva ker-jumbled mess in there! [ she taps a finger against her temple, gesturing to her "ker-jumbled mess" of a brain. ] I'd probably send puzzle masters crying to their mommies with how screwed up I am in here, to be honest.

[ were it anyone else, it may sound like a challenge... but those words were said by Pascal, and goodness knows what's going on in her brain even now. it may have been honest truth and it may have been something else entirely. ]

[When she says "screwed up," he ends up being a bit taken aback. It's hard to tell with Pascal, but there was something about it that seemed to... self-deprecating to Hubert. And maybe that's not how she means it, but his own issues and cynicism make it hard for him to see it any other way.

For a moment, he's quiet, and his expression falls. Looking back at her, he shakes his head, a small scowl appearing on his lips.]

Unpredictable, perhaps. Eccentric, most certainly. I'd hardly call "screwed up" the word for it, however.

[It actually kind of annoys him. Even if Pascal means it in a playful way, the idea of referring to herself as "screwed up," when she's anything but angers him. She may be hard to understand at times, and she marches to the beat of her own drum, but she's also caring and considerate, as well as incredibly smart. That's not screwed up at all, and he's not about to let her think that way, either.]

Aww, now you're just being sweet!

[ his scowl doesn't go amiss, and Pascal has absolutely no idea why his attitude took a divebomb just from her comment. she could tell — not just from his expression, but from his tone of voice and his body language — that whatever she'd said had displeased him in a way, and while she does she it, the reasoning is lost on her. why is Hubert getting so mad about one little joke about her brain?

oh right. though he's definitely loosened up quite a bit, Hubert's well-known in their ragtag group as the "stuck up killjoy".

she slides back until she's touching the back of the chair, giving Hubert a playful shove once she's situated. ]

You know I'm just kidding around, Hubby. You don't have to get so pissy about it!

Wh-- There wasn't anything sweet about that at all!

[Flustered? Hubert? Nah...

Okay, he totally is. It's hard for him to help, though. Even if she meant nothing by it, Pascal getting ideas in her head that could lead her down a track of cynicism... Well, he had enough of that for the both of them. And for all the times he denies consoling her, or trying to do anything that would help her on an emotional level, there's twice as many where does whatever he can.

Of course, the fact that she's brushing it off, nudging him, and being -- well, Pascal doesn't help. Or maybe it does. There's a slight bit of relief that comes from seeing her bounce back and remain as bright as ever. But then again--]

I wasn't being "pissy" about it, either! I fail to see how adhering to my... duty as "husband" means that I'm being particularly unpleasant.

[Which, of course, is Hubert-speak for "Don't say I'm being pissy because I'm trying to look out for you!" But... It's Hubert, and he's so bad at expressing his feelings to her properly. Or at all. He gets a little more flustered when it comes to the pet names, and even saying that he's in that role, especially when knowing Pascal treats it like a game. She doesn't know he's considered more than this for them, and he can't let on to it, either.]
