[ ah, well either way akira is glad to see a smile, keeping his hand where kau leads it to his cheek. even though he acts like a dog and is treated like one (the executioners were terrifying enough without having to be seen treating a boy like an animal), akira's never been able to see it that way. and he goes out of his way not to think about arbitro's responsibility in all of this. ]

Someone your age would be in a school right now, you know, not waiting outside of one. You must be waiting for some of the kids...?

[ akira would worry that they would act cruel towards kau but maybe since this place is full of so many odd things and different people they just can accept it easier? he's not sure, it's not like he makes it a point to go out and mingle anymore than he has to. and when he's around other people he's usually being avoided as much as he is not even noticing such. ]

[ Kau raised his head at Akira's statement. waiting for someone...? no, that wasn't right. he didn't know anyone here. he didn't even know that Akira was here.

he only shook his head, keeping Akira's hand on his face. his head lowered as he continued to think and he frowned. why would he want to go to school? he belonged with Arbitro and whatever he needed to know, Arbitro would teach him ]

[ kau seems all right, not hurt or anything. maybe just a little lonely? this place is nice and all, but it doesn't make it much different in trusting people or understanding or getting along with them, especially when you don't understand the concept of family to begin with, like akira does—or worse yet, he thinks he knows and he thinks he's got it all figured out but he knows a whole lot of nothing. ]

Did you just get here? Maybe... [ akira's sort of looking really awkwardly at karu''s little outfit getup and totally just cursing arbitro right now because he realizes he can just leave kau in that and wandering around. so... so... that means... ]

? [ Kau jerks his head up at the question, nodding all excitedly. he goes to stand up then so he can walk with the other. it's probably not best to crawl around on the concrete... that will hurt and Arbitro will be mad if he's all bloody when he comes to get home.

if he comes to get him too. Kau doesn't think about it for too long as he reaches over to take Akira's arm gently and nuzzle him. Akira is always so sweet to him ]

[ it is a crime that so done so adorable has gone through so much and that far worse people haven't dealt with a fraction of it. so he gives him the smallest smile he can muster and tries to focus on how happy kau is and not how bad a trip to the mall is going to be.

kau needs new clothes while he's here but... probably shouldn't let him just waltz into the mall like that (those mall kids might get new fashion ideas or something terrifying). ]

Uhm, wait a sec. [he pulls the other off of him so he can undo the light jacket he's acquired here since the hot weather hasn't exactly allowed him to freely run around in his heavier one from home, and take it off before moving to carefully put it on the other. He's smaller, so he'll swim a little in it, but that's okay...

after zipping it up akira takes a step back to get a better idea of how the outfit looks. it looks pretty awful, actually, but who ever said it was okay to let akira dress anyone? the point is that his problem of the bondage outfit is temporarily solved. ...half solved. Half assed, too, but whatever, he's just gotta get him to the mall and into his own size clothes. piece of cake...

[ Akira gave him his jacket! it wasn't that he was cold or anything and...he struggled a little when it was being put on him, but it was still nice. he made a clap with his hands in front of him, as if he couldn't hold in his excitement anymore and hugged onto the other's arm again. he was so happy to have someone here that he knew ]
