[ The great thing about being an all-knowing omnipotent is the fact that there really isn't a need for an alternative form of transportation. He descends, as most mortals would never be able to experience, just as time is still a tough concept for them to understand. Luckily, there isn't a need for them to - not with Kaguya on their side, to guide them. Taigong Wang would (and that's a big "would") consider himself a Mystic with similar ideals as Kaguya, but as it stands, she's a hero. Taigong Wang knows better than that - he's no hero, especially not for the sake of humanity.

Now the idea of being an omnipotent and all-knowing is nice and swell, but there's a vital lapse Taigong Wang noticed the moment he stepped foot on this human realm (as opposed to the Human Realm) --

He's no longer a Mystic.

Which means that he isn't omnipotent, he does need to reconsider how time works (Kaguya, he senses, isn't here), and finally, he does have to think about an alternative form of transportation. Well, he doesn't have to, technically, but seeing all these red "automobiles" does make him wonder how it compares to teleportation.

The answer is obvious, quite honestly, but what teleportation doesn't have is a spectacular trail of black smoke, just like the one before him. He could have mistaken the vehicle for a wheel-harboring devil, but it's quite obvious a human operating it. He cants his head to the side, the hand not holding his fishing rod waves the smoke clear from his sight. And it's when the coughing man emerges from the smoke that Taigong Wang realizes who he's dealing with. ]

Haha, if it isn't Zhong Hui... A man hailed from the era of the Three Kingdoms, attempting operation on a machine that is nearly two millennia ahead of your time... I thought you'd know better than that.

[ It's more than two millennia ahead of Taigong Wang's time, as a matter of fact, but that's precisely why he hasn't given it a whirl. Not that he would have much trouble learning, quite frankly. It may no longer be a Mystic, but he is still all-knowing.

Except for the fact that he doesn't know whether or not this Zhong Hui would recognize him. ]

I don't suppose you are in need of assistance?

[ Not that he can help all that much. Despite it all, he still isn't a hero. ]

[thankfully he didn't trap himself on the way out of the door, but smoke is definitely taking up a lot of the street and the car is still running. maybe one day he'll work out how to turn it off as well as turn it on. he's still coughing, albeit less frequently, when he straightens himself up. he doesn't recogise the man at all, but to him, he had no need to.

it's just sad that even when he's hacking up his lungs he can still find the embarrassing need to be as arrogant as he is.]

I see, so you've heard of me then, hmm? [no one should be able to smirk that way while resisting the urge to keep coughing]

However I think you'll find that I have this completely under control.

[so he says as he leans against the car... only for it to make a loud BANG noise as something clearly isn't liking the abuse it's going through.]

[ Sad would be an understatement. To think that he was compared to this man... Da Ji couldn't have thought of a better insult than that.

How perfect, though, that Zhong Hui managed to answer a silent question of his. Most mortals - better yet, strategists and aspiring strategists - would have at least acknowledge Taigong Wang when they meet eyes with him, but Zhong Hui seems to look right pass that. So whatever realm this is, it's where the young man has seen the Hydra or even know of the conflict between humanity and Orochi. What an interesting turn of events... ]

Heard...? [ That earns him a light chuckle, his expression can be taken a dozen of ways, and Zhong Hui is free to interpret it any way he pleases. As well as what he says following it -- ] I know all about your exploits... Past, present, and future.

[ He speaks slowly, making sure to leave Zhong Hui wondering what he means by it. And the common denominator in all of that is - Zhong Hui's rebellion(s) ends in crushing failure. His gaze fall on the engine, then a smirk as he studies his face, not batting once when the boom is heard coming from vehicle. ]

But since you have this all under control...

[ He'll just turn around and continue his investigation elsewhere. Zhong Hui probably doesn't have any useful information to him, anyway. ]

[it's true, it's true... there are some people that most wouldn't dream of being compared to, and Zhong Hui was definitely on that list. it's especially true at the moment, where he's 2000 years out of his depth, almost. however, the phrasing of that certainly does know him off. he can understand past and present, that he has no problems with, but future?

no wonder he looks offended.]

Shouldn't you know better than to talk in riddles?! Despite what you say, such a thing is impossible, I should know.

[ And that makes him stop his steps, turning back just enough to glance at the boy's face, taking in the bewilderment and countering that with a knowing expression of his own. ]

It is precisely because I know better - and know more than you can possibly imagine - that I speak in riddles. You, of all people, should be able to extract its meaning. [ And that's not exactly a compliment. ] After all, you are the subject of the riddle, your ambition is the question. And what of the answer, you must then wonder?

[ Facing forward again, he lets the question seep in a long pause. ]

[It feels like he's being mocked, and that's hardly something that settles well with him. A hand moves to his hair, before he flicks a strand away. His other hand rests upon his hip and he studies Taigong Wang carefully.

This entire notion is ridiculous.]

Well don't blame me for not believing you. [hmph. though he is going to ponder that now, at least. he's just not going to show he'll be pondering it.]

Besides, you haven't even told me who you are.

[ He couldn't have possibly picked a worse time lose his Mystic powers. He imagines how much of headache he can save himself if he just disappeared from this realm right now and let the mortals move on with their bizarre lives.

But he can't. He's stuck right where he's standing... but ah, he'll continue walking ahead, talking all the while. Zhong Hui can choose to follow him if he wishes. ]

Hehe... Who am I? I haven't heard that one in ages... [ Maybe when he first descended on the Human Realm, but now? ] I am the all-knowing omnipotent Taigong Wang of the Mystic Realm. You should understand how rare it is for me to descend and walk among you mortals.

[ And much less do something other than fishing, but he doesn't need to know that. ]

[There's only one problem with his statement really... Considering he doesn't have his powers anymore, and only his words, there's something Zhong Hui will have to say to that:] And do you have any proof?

[No matter how much you may read about things like these, it's another thing to expect to come face to face with said being okay. . .]

[ He would have thought that his fishing pole along with his general attire (strange hair color included) would be some sort of dead giveaway, but for some... ]

"Proof"... hehe. You really are a peculiar one. An unnecessary nut to crack. [ His judging so intensely, but his cool level-headedness wouldn't be telling of that at all. ] To be sure, I don't have a need for proof. Either you believe me, or you don't...

[Well considering the losers he's seen in this world already, hair colour and a fishing pole don't really do much good now do they???

And Taigong Wang can be grateful they were not standing still, as someone would be tapping their foot impatiently by now. This is just too ridiculous.]
