Occasionally, she would adjust her sunglasses and take a sip from her ice water, but otherwise she was just watching, chewing, and observing as several young sweaty young men in tight pants collided with one another again and again.

You could call it scouting. She needed waiters for her restaurant, after all. But it was mostly shameless appreciation of the eye candy. Ah well.

[Not all the young men are colliding against one another, there's one in particular that avoids collisions as if they were avoiding hell's fires raining down on them. He's small, and despite the padding it's clear that he's far from muscular, his legs, however, are another story. Legs of a runner, and that's exactly what he does, run sorting obstacles and dodging other players, as fast as his small legs can carry him. And boy, he is fast, one of the fastest if not the fastest one standing on the field even for the eyes of someone who isn't an expert.

Still, Sena isn't as fast as he wishes he would be. Not yet. He needs to train more, to improve further. But right now, he needs to rest a bit and drink something. Seriously. So he stops after one more run, moving to the benches to take a drink, taking his helmet off to try to cool down a bit. That's when he spots Jam, it's not extremely rare to see people watching the practice, but normally they are people who do so often, this woman is new, though. At least it's the first time he has seen her. He doesn't dare to approach, though, thinking that maybe she's a new girlfriend of Agon's and thus approaching could be bad for his health, but he does stare at her curiously and without any subtlety.]

[ right, so. people are creatures of habit. routines are one of those pesky things you can't really shake off just like that. routine is the explanation for why hirato is up and fully dressed before sunrise today. blame it on the old job and the hectic hours. sure, going back to bed is an option-- but on the other hand, it feels a bit pointless to go back to sleep now that he's all awake.

it also will definitely not do to wake up the other residents of the house. no, no. that would be most unbecoming, so outside he goes. it's still pretty dark out, but he's never been afraid of the dark. it's kind of foggy too, but that isn't really all that annoying either.

[ Hatate is one of those people. The ones who spend all day with their noses against their cell phone screens, even while wandering around. One might be surprised that she hasn't run into anyone or anything yet, but she's just that good at keeping an eye on her surroundings with her occasional glances from the device she so deftly clutched.

Whatever she's working on must be urgent. Or she's just still in the process of figuring out how this can have so many more features than her own, and yet just not do what she NEEDS it to do.

Alternately, you can find Hatate about town just about anywhere, snapping photos with her phone like it's going out of style. And maybe things are going out of style. You don't know this! That's why she's making records because there has to be something worth reporting about in this town besides the obvious grand kidnapping scheme.

[sadly, all the "new" inventions here have already caused a lot of confusion for zhong hui, though it's not something that he will admit so freely to. the device he's looking at currently is the car outside his new "home". it looks a lot like a carriage, but the way it's structured and the fact that there is no horse in front of it is making it worse. at least it looks rather flashy, however??

though people may want to panic when he slides into the front seat, acting as though he knows what he's doing... but then his hair gets trapped in the door, he has no idea what a seat belt is, and he manages to rev up the car with the hand break on.

[it's been a day or two by now and (thankfully!!!) someone has shown him how to use this to communicate. he's sat in his home, twirling a lock of hair around his finger as the video starts. he's had time to stop being quite as offended by all of this.]

[ The great thing about being an all-knowing omnipotent is the fact that there really isn't a need for an alternative form of transportation. He descends, as most mortals would never be able to experience, just as time is still a tough concept for them to understand. Luckily, there isn't a need for them to - not with Kaguya on their side, to guide them. Taigong Wang would (and that's a big "would") consider himself a Mystic with similar ideals as Kaguya, but as it stands, she's a hero. Taigong Wang knows better than that - he's no hero, especially not for the sake of humanity.

Now the idea of being an omnipotent and all-knowing is nice and swell, but there's a vital lapse Taigong Wang noticed the moment he stepped foot on this human realm (as opposed to the Human Realm) --

He's no longer a Mystic.

Which means that he isn't omnipotent, he does need to reconsider how time works (Kaguya, he senses, isn't here), and finally, he does have to think about an alternative form of transportation. Well, he doesn't have to, technically, but seeing all these red "automobiles" does make him wonder how it compares to teleportation.

The answer is obvious, quite honestly, but what teleportation doesn't have is a spectacular trail of black smoke, just like the one before him. He could have mistaken the vehicle for a wheel-harboring devil, but it's quite obvious a human operating it. He cants his head to the side, the hand not holding his fishing rod waves the smoke clear from his sight. And it's when the coughing man emerges from the smoke that Taigong Wang realizes who he's dealing with. ]

Haha, if it isn't Zhong Hui... A man hailed from the era of the Three Kingdoms, attempting operation on a machine that is nearly two millennia ahead of your time... I thought you'd know better than that.

[ It's more than two millennia ahead of Taigong Wang's time, as a matter of fact, but that's precisely why he hasn't given it a whirl. Not that he would have much trouble learning, quite frankly. It may no longer be a Mystic, but he is still all-knowing.

Except for the fact that he doesn't know whether or not this Zhong Hui would recognize him. ]

( well okay maybe the mailbox was a bad idea! and maybe he should have cleaned himself up first but no one told him that before. a little later in the evening, heine finds himself wandering across the different districts, knife he’s acquired from “his” kitchen tucked into the back of his belt ( he doesn’t trust this, not one bit, this is dangerous--it’s always dangerous ) but he isn’t touching it--is more focused on the phone in his hands.
