[well getting the car door open is a step up from what he managed, though he'd been a little distracted by coughing into his hand anyway.

that, and leaning out the door before he manages to finally sort himself out. as she doesn't say a word, he uses the silence to study her, trying to breathe properly again. never again will he touch one of those things... until he finds a really flashy one anyway.]

Okuni's silence could be due to the fact that she was watching him gracefully(???) step out of the car, and trying to breathe. Admittedly, he was handling himself quite well. So perhaps, not just a pretty face?]
