[The video turns out to an image of Ranka beaming at the camera, whatever she has to say it's clear that she's super excited about it.]

It's almost Christmas! [Ah that makes sense. Who wouldn't be excited about Christmas?] I was cleaning my room and singing Christmas songs, but then I got distracted because I couldn't figure out what my favorite Christmas song is. There are so many good ones!

[If anything her smile actually widens at this point.]

So I want to know! What's your favorite Christmas song?

[Honestly she's hoping to learn a few new songs out of this, after all there are so many worlds represented here! There has to be some Christmas songs out there she's never heard before.]

[The plan was to explore the high school fully, so that when she goes to class tomorrow she'd know where all of her classes were. It's important to give a good first impression and it's hard to do that if she's late! Only her self-given tour starts and ends at the music room where the burning need to sing out her emotions trumps the more practical plan of finding her classrooms. It's normal to experience sudden bouts of homesickness after a few days of settling in isn't it?]

[She's about to launch into another verse when she hears a noise, and it knocks her out of her little musical reverie. Maybe she's a famous pop idol back home, but here she's just a girl. Suddenly she's feeling self conscious and more than a little silly. So she automatically gives a little bow, not really paying attention to who or what the intruder may be.]

Oh! I'm sorry! Were you supposed to be using this room? Because I can leave, I was only going to stop in for a second anyway.

[ The noise was sudden, and he definitely did not expect anyone to break into song the next minute. He doesn't understand why the new occupant of the room is singing, but it's not bad. [ It's not as though Anubis can say anything other than what he could, and it's a little discouraging. However, other than his effort to learn how to communicate with Yui, his will is limited. ]

Ka. Ka-barabara. [ Translation; 'this is Anubis's spot', although that can't really be communicated over, anyway. Still, the reserved hostility. ]

[This is the first time there's been a language barrier since she arrived, so admittedly Ranka is a little perplexed.]

Ka-barabara? [She has no idea what he's saying, but the fact that he really is annoyed is becoming much more obvious.] Maybe I should just go.

[ Anubis stares--he isn't sure if the human understands his speech, but the interrogative tone in her voice probably indicated that she didn't. Oh well. ]
