[ it'd be nice to say that Bandou manages a slightly cool harrumph at this point but it doesn't even cross his mind-- all he does is stalk into the book cafe, hands shoved in pockets and mollified from a mile away.

Q: what do two thugs do when they enter a cosy little book cafe? ]

Well, hopefully, they don't. Sure, Bandou's got a bit of a gloomy air about him, but at least he doesn't look like he'll kick over the nearest garbage bin anymore, right?

they get a couple of odd looks when they stroll in, and there's a nervous titter that rises for a moment but only one table calls for the cheque and strolls out not long after they come in, thug lyfe gear and all.

....maybe that's why they end up having to sit at a corner. nothing to do with Bandou's gloom cloud and the fact that he's still wearing his shades indoors, nope. ]

[They only managed to scare away a handful of people, how disappointing... The books are set aside when they take their seats, though, and nothing is really thought of the people that happened to leave when they walked in. It's business as usual!

Shouhei's surprised by Bandou's reply at first, though.]

[The funny part is how Shouhei doesn't blame him at all. He only thinks of the good side, not the bad! So he's just kind of in awe at Bandou's generosity. Seriously, what a good friend...!

So he doesn't argue. He just laughs instead.]

[When the waiter (who doesn't really look like he wants to take their order) comes over, Shouhei orders something relatively simple, not wanting to trouble Bandou so much. You know, even if they haven't found the library, Shouhei's still quite pleased with the outcome!]
