Dude you're going way too fast

TEST DRIVE MEME

SO HOW DOES IT WORK?

► STEP 1; Post a comment with a character that's not in HH as if they're already in the setting; alternative version, post character who is in HH. Scenarios if you need 'em!
► STEP 2; Tag around and get a feel for your characters, whether you're just voice testing or planning to actually app them in!
► STEP 3; Post this all over your plurk and get people to join in on this jolly good fun. Don't forget: it's mandatory.

Taken from someone who took it from someone who took it from someone I don't even know anymore. TOOK IT FROM THE MEME COMM.

OPTION A: (TEXT)
(ノ≧∀≦)ノ kyaaaaaaaa!!!
how scandalous, mr landlord! kidnapping cute young boys to your secret community!!
hey hey, fellow citizens. how about you tell me about "happiness"? have you found it yet? was it hard?

OPTION B: (ACTION)
[ there's a public menace idiot in the mall.

yes, that one. the one with his nose smashed flat against the freshly polished windows of the toy store, watching the model trains shoot around and around their tracks. he'll be leaving all sorts of prints over that window, his breath fogging the glass in his excitement. now, it only takes a split second of him glancing to his right -- and out of the corner of his eye, he's spotted you. (shia labeouf) which means you're screwed. sorry, no take backs. he's beckoning to you, and pointing at those stupid model trains with a shit-eating grin on his face. ]

Hey, hey! [ he's calling you now, you have no way out ] Wouldn't this scene be better with a damsel in distress tied onto the tracks? And a hero to save her!

[he's just an innocent bystander, beckoned by this snake. as far as makoto is concerned, this is a kid excited about toy trains or something.]

It might be? [if the hero saves her, that is] But I guess it doesn't come along with the set. You could probably buy other toys to go with it and play that out.

--ah! That one shoots up real smoke...

[now he's entranced by the trains going on and on]

[personal profile] ex_revise122 2013-11-25 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
[ you're doomed, makoto. ]

Don't you think! The train would go "choo choo", and the damsel would go "aiiieeee save me, Mr Hero"!!

[ giddy laughter! at least he's not smearing his nose all over the window like he had been. ]

Ah ha ha, ohhh. What a laugh. What sort of heroes do you like, mister? There's so many, I understand if it's hard to choose. But! What if you were the hero! How would you save Miss Damsel, hmm? Think quick though, I bet she doesn't have much time.

I think so. [a compact smile] But I guess she would try to appeal to anyone around...

[he looks back in time with the questions, which he considers. though perhaps not too seriously.]

--well, I do like heroes from video games, and those in manga who fight for their friends.

[still, the answer is vague]

Eh? Me? ... Wouldn't the most logical option be to untie her from the rails and move her away from the train's path as quickly as possible?

[personal profile] ex_revise122 2013-11-25 05:06 am (UTC)(link)
Well, sure. If by "logical", you actually mean "boring".

[ kano that's not very polite. neither is pointing your finger directly at his face. ]

But! We're not talking about you as Mr Mundane, mister! In this scenario, you're superhero. And what do all your heroes have in common? Ah, I'll tell you what the answer is: they're spectacular! Try again, now. If you had only once chance and you could do something spectacular, with no limitations, how would you rescue her? What if you could fly, or had super strength! [ so chatty... ]

[he's taken aback, but not too aback. he's used to having loud blonds all up in his business. this sure tells him he's got to consider the question more carefully - even if he's going to humour kano like he would humour his siblings when they can't let go of an idea.]

I'm a superhero, huh?

[a thoughtful chin tap]

Hm... I think if I could freeze time I would stop the train first and hurry to untie her until the time-stop spell wears off.

[he's looking into comics and videogames for inspiration] Is that valid enough? How would you do it?

[personal profile] ex_revise122 2013-11-25 05:37 pm (UTC)(link)
[ the expectant expression on his face is practically screaming "of course you're a superhero, now get to hero-ing" while he awaits the taller boy's answer. either he's looking for something in particular, or he's just plain curious about what people would do if they could do. ]

Aaah! Time-stop, of course. Why didn't I think of that? That's a good one.

[ he taps his chin, seemingly satisfied with the answer; at least, until he's prompted to come up with one as well ]

Who, me? You're asking me? That's so sweet of you! Let me think, let me think. [ gesturing now, with his arms open wide ] Well, like you, maybe. Except, I'd go back in time and make sure she was never tied to the tracks in the first place. Isn't that romantic? Saving the damsel before she's ever in any danger.

[what an amusing kid, he thinks]

That does sound romantic. But then you'd have to consider a couple things. For example, if you go back in time, would it affect your memories or that of those around you? You've got to be careful when playing around with what would be considered as 'fate'. Or at least that's a loophole many manga and comics look into for these kind of things...

[hmmm] But to avoid the incident altogether seems best, since you mentioned it.
