[Nico's naturally wary of cellphones so he's not touching that thing with a ten foot pole, thank you very much. It's lying on the sidewalk, having been thrown as soon as it was discovered in his pocket. If your timing is right, you might walk by just in time to see the young demigod run right into a wall in the shade of the house and fall on his butt, confused and agitated.

Otherwise you might just happen to ask him why he's thrown his cellphone away.]

[Morgiana was definitely there in time to see Nico slam into the wall. Her lips curl into what could be considered an almost amused smile but it goes away just as quick as it came. The fanalis makes her way over, bare feet tapping against the ground. She crouches at his side, red eyes staring at him intently.]

..Are you okay? [She wondered why he even decided to go right for the wall like that. Question of the century.]

[Nico looks up and makes a face of mixed confusion, embarassment, and alarm, because aside from the odd hair color, this girl could totally pass for a greek of some kind, meaning she was probably some crazy immortal here to make his life difficult.]

I-I'm fine!

[morujiana]

[Her eyebrows are quick to furrow just the slightest in confusion, lips pursed in thought. What would of given him such a reason to look so alarmed for? She hadn't startled him that badly, had she?] Are you sure? That looked really painful.

[Her eyes flicker to stare over at the patch of wall that he had walked into, as if trying to figure out something. She returns her attention back to Nico, looking oddly patient.] What were you trying to do..? I hope it's alright to ask.

[skiodis]

I'm sure.
[He says firmly, but there's already a red bump forming on his forehead.]

And I was trying to leave.
[That's all he's going to say on the matter, though. Even though it doesn't really explain much.]

[jyajyaaan]

[Rei flinches in sympathy when he sees Nico run smack into the wall and almost steps on the cellphone he was just about to pick up, wondering if somebody might have lost it.

Walking over, he offers him his hand.]

You know, I don't think whatever you were trying to do worked. What were you trying to do?

[Nico ignores the offered hand with a frown, scrambling to his feet on his own, his face scrunching up as he makes sure his nose is still in the place it's supposed to be.]

Yeah, I noticed! And it's none of your business what I was trying to do.
[Top secret business, and all that, clearly.]

[jyajyaaan]

[He blinks at the rejection and draws his hand back, but looks more curious about it rather than bothered.]

Alright. [Have another thoughtful stare because running smack into a wall is hella strange even for the things Rei's used to by now.] Are you human?

[skiodis]

[Yeah, that question is just going to stop Nico dead in his tracks. His reaction of surprise is more telling than anything he could say, really.]

... Why wouldn't I be?

[jyajyaaan]

[Huh. That's an interesting response.]

Because you ran straight into a wall as if you had a purpose? [He beams.] See, pretty much all humans I know wouldn't do that but since this place has some aliens who look like humans too, and some of them have strange powers back where they come from- [smile] Did I guess right?

[skiodis]

[Nico just sort of looks at the other boy for a long hard minute than anything. Losing his powers seems to have robbed him of his overt aura of creepiness, but he's still got a bit of an "off" look in his eyes, like he's been through far more than most people his age and has a few screws permanently loose as a result.]

Yeah, something like that.
[Still keeping it vague, just because his powers are gone doesn't assure that there won't still be monsters.]

[jyajyaaan]

[The look is enough to send Rei fidgeting and averting his eyes for a moment, but in the end his nature as a human version of a puppy wins over any worries of having said something wrong and he returns it with the look of somebody who'd follow you through all levels of hell as long as that means you'll let him stay by your side at the end.]

Awesome. [Rather than excited his comment is warm and welcoming and just a tiny bit knowing.] You're new here, right? If you're the kind of alien that means no harms to humans I can maybe tell you a way how to get some of your powers back.

[Following him through hell is a startingly non-metaphorical possibility when you're dealing with Nico!! In any case, it hadn't fully sunk in yet that he was without his powers, but now that it's been said aloud, it's obvious to Nico that that's what had happened. He seems to think about it for a moment. Demigod powers can be nice sometimes, really, when he'd first been introduced to the idea he'd thought it was really cool. But having them, having Hades for a father, hadn't it brought him far more trouble than it had good things?]

... I'm not sure I want them back.

[Man and he thought his reaction to being thrown into a completely unfamiliar world was a little over the top. This kid... at least it was pretty effing hilarious. He does a terrible job trying to hold back a laugh.]

PFFFFFFT--[This is Doug, laughing so hard his sides kind of hurt.]

[He manages a "Smooth" after a deep gasp of air before continuing to laugh.]

I KNOW THIS FEEL

[Nico bristles at the laughter, but rather than lash out he just sort of grimaces and turns away, heading to skulk around the back of the row of houses rather than use the sidewalk because of people. These cookie cutter houses don't provide nearly enough shade for his liking but right now he just wants to put some distance between him and that other guy because he's pretty sure he looked the type to fight first and ask questions never.]

[acrobratics]

[Once he catches his breath he realizes the guy isn't around anymore and he kinda feels a little bad for laughing at him. There's a good chance he's new to his place just like him and it is confusing, if disorienting like all hell. So he'll slowly approach, walking around to look behind the row of houses to see if the guy was hiding.

Lo and behold he'll see him skulking somewhere in the distance and approach as if the guy was a skittish animal.]

Hey, You okay? [Look, see? He's asking questions first! He sometimes CAN be an attack first ask questions never, but he's not on a job. So friendly is the way he'll go unless the guy attacks him, or something else does...]

I'm sorry for laughing at ya.

[skiodis]

[Nico shoots a frown at the other guy. Even though he's much shorter, it's clear from his voice that he's an adult. Unusual, sure, but when you're friends with a 10' tall titan size starts to sort of lose its meaning.]

Why should you care if I'm ok?
[He clearly doesn't believe that apology, either. It's too late to apologise, Doug!!! Hades kids hold grudges forever.]

[acrobratics]

[He rolls his eyes.]

C'mon, you think I'd waste my time to come over here and check on you if I wasn't at least curious?

[skiodis]

[Nico doesn't think that being curious is the same thing as actually being concerned but he just sort of huffs.]

I'm fine. Leave me alone.

[acrobratics]

[What he can't actually admit he was a little concerned okay? He's trying to be nice here Nico. Do you know what nice is?]

Fine huh?

[Hands in his pockets as he looks around, then back to Nico and looking him over with some skepticism and a quirked brow.]

You don't seem fine. Hell, when I first woke up here I thought maybe I'd died. To tell you the truth I'm not sure how to feel about this place, but 'fine' would be the last thing I'd use to describe myself right now.

[He's trying at least? Everybody needs a friend. He's not sure why he's decided this kid would be good to help or make friends with but, yep. Here he is, trying to level with him.]

You really wanna be alone in a place you don't even know? I sure don't. It's too quiet and perfect looking, I'm just waiting for something ugly to pop out and try to kill me.

[Could also be where he's from and what's happening right now, or what he IS but ya know. It's a good excuse right? Something to attempt to get Nico not to tell him to go away.]

[ timing, natsuo has it. snacking on a sandwich as he's walking past he couldn't help but notice that little scene. as the other falls back onto his bottom, he just stands and stares with a wag of the tail ]

I think you're doing it wrong~

[Said with literally zero humor or enthusiasm, he obviously doesn't appreciate the comment at all. He's just going to brush himself off and get back on his feet, now.]

Whatever abilities you may have had at home don't work here, just so you know. Were you able to walk through walls or something?

No. Why would I be trying to walk through the wall? According to this letter thing I'm supposed to live here. I have a key. [The tone of his voice suggests that he finds that idea ridiculous but it is obviously irrelevant to the subject at hand.]

Really? You know that isn't a door, right? They generally have something you can turn... Like a doorknob. [ he simply offers a shrug ] As for why you're trying to forgo said door, I can't even imagine why~

You can be as indignant as you'd like over the situation, but it won't change. [ oh hey! there's a sandwhich, isn't there? He'll just enjoy another bite ]

Not everyone is very happy to be here, it's just that no one could really do much about it.
