[ Dog? Did it just call him a dog? Okay, backtracking a little bit, in terms of the fierce looking hen-rooster thing--the turkey--but what? The creatures tries to peck at him? It it for real? Like a hostile animal (as though Anubis wasn't before), he jumps back and hisses violently at the duo. ]

Shhhhhaaa--!!

[ Back to the dog part. Anubis is a dog god in all his god glory, but he's not exactly proud to have someone else call him out on that part. Especially with his hair sticking up like a pair of dog ears. Either way, brush past that part to face with the current predicament. The struggle.

Like he was going to help, seriously. Right after the vicious animal tried to attack him, too! He's going to just stare, or glare, hostilely at the stuggling duo. Because he'd rather not get pecked for real. ]

[Well, okay, that doesn't look like this one's ready to give him any help with this if Rei is interpreting his reactions right. He also feels almost a bit sorry that he automatically called him dog-kun, although it had only made sense to him at that time, knowing a girl with hair like cat-ears who goes by the nickname of Cat-chan and another one with a dog-like look going by Dog-chan. Calling an older boy with such hair... ears... looks dog-kun had been logical. But wait, what if he had guessed the wrong animal?!

His thoughts are interrupted as the turkey continues to struggle. It takes Rei a few minutes to get it properly by wrapping part of its leash around it before he collapses to the ground, breathing heavily.]

I- I'm sorry. Did you get hurt?

[ Anubis seems to note the absence of a threat, for the most part, and his stance towards the once struggling duo has retained a more casual manner, although he's still on caution notice in case anything happens. However, being that the immediate threat is now under control, he listens to the human more carefully. Despite his ability to understand human speech, the foreign concern--is that really concern, he thinks--much like his initial take on the girl who befriended him.

Anubis doesn't move much, though, except to wiggle around in discomfort as he shifts his position. Otherwise, he is much glued to the spot he's currently occupying. ]

Ka. [ If the human is indeed showing some genuine concern for him, he will know after this. "That was horrible." ]

[Rei gives him a stricken look, mistaking it for a sign that the turkey did get to him somehow in time after all.]

Oh no. You are? Does it hurt a lot?

[ But he isn't hurt! Anubis doesn't really know how to address this, and it's really just overcomplicated how he is going to end up dealing with something like this. Maybe he should just shake his head. That always worked with Thoth--but then again, Thoth understood him... ]

Ka. [ It is concern? But he doesn't care about it for now. He goes to shake his head. He's actually communicating with a human now! How proud. ]
