[ Her hand weakens and nearly drops when she hears the unfortunate news. She was sure light-years were... Why, it had the word year in it! Before she collapses from embarrassment, she regains her composure. She's a magical girl now, after all. ]

Ku... ku ku! The forces of evil know not rest! Even now, they are lurking in this room... [ She searches... then, aha! She jumps. ] The Lady Julienne Alexandre's heart!

[tsugi]

[Something changes in her expression at that. It's very brief, but it's there. She actually looks startled for a second.

...Her hand reaches up, to cover her heart, where her locket rests.] ...Darkness, hm. [The surprise fades. Back to being impassive again. She turns back to the window, like a large, disinterested cat.]

I'm not playing your pretend game.

[ Kobato looks on for a moment, almost disappointed, but also curious. There have been times that Juri has taken care of her or protected her, even if she didn't have Kobato's well-being in mind. She dashes to the kitchen, and when Juri thinks she's finally rid of her, Kobato comes back with a mug in her hands. ]

... With this concoction enchanted with starlight, Lady Julienne's heart will thaw and the darkness in her heart will vanish.

[ It's hot chocolate. ]

[tsugi]

...Oh.

[Well, she hadn't expected that. She actually feels a little bad, and her expression has softened by the time she takes the mug, gingerly holding it in both hands.] Thank you.

[A moment, to blow steam off the top of the drink, and then she speaks up again, gentle now.] I'll make some for you.

[She's offering to have hot chocolate together in the language of cool upperclassman.]

Yes, please! [ In the end, she's a teenage girl first, vampire queen second. Kobato follows and places her hands on the edge of the counter as she watches Juri do her own thing.
