[She quirks an eyebrow, her eyes sliding to the paper and then back to him. It looks like she doesn't have a whole lot of interest in humoring him just yet, not when there's such a great opportunity to rub it in here.]

Oh, really? So if they had Pokemon battles, you'd stick around? But you wouldn't come visit me even if I work here? [She clucks her tongue.] You're a tough customer, Cheren. I don't suppose you're really in that much of a hurry to get going, are you?

[Read: "please stay here so I can be lovingly obnoxious to you while in a maid uniform just to be terrible."]

[You know what, he's not going to answer that first question. (because the answer is yes). But he was kind of looking forward to getting back to his own business after picking up what he needed. He got the feeling, though, that Hilda wasn't exactly about to let him leave that easily. Especially not when she was working in a place that required her to wear frilly dresses and, no doubt, act cutesy and polite to the customers.]

If I stay, are you going to behave like those other waitresses? That is your job, isn't it? [he's not sure what he feels about that. If he felt bad for her, or if it was a bit hilarious. Maybe both.]

[Erk. Good point, but for this purpose, maybe she can tolerate being disgustingly cute to him if it'll embarrass him. Besides, he brought up that it's her job, and doing things right is a point of pride for her, so she's stuck now.]

I don't know. Are you going to stay and find out? Maybe if you stick around a while, I'll tell you how to get to that other place you want to go to...

[Ah, yes, drive a hard bargain. She's got this one in the bag.]

[Embarrass him, maybe. What it will definitely do is make him very uncomfortable. As much as he'd like to tease Hilda for acting like that toward other customers, he doesn't want that sort of behavior directed toward him. Not from Hilda, anyway. That wasn't how Hilda was, and it was strange enough seeing her dressed like a maid.

That is a sticking point, though. He could either stay here or go back out and try and find out the answer on his own. Who knows how that last bit would turn out.]

So long as you don't call me "master," I don't mind staying. Are you even able to talk while you're supposed to be working, though?
