SO HOW DOES IT WORK?
► STEP 1; Post a comment with a character that's not in HH as if they're already in the setting; alternative version, post character who is in HH. Scenarios if you need 'em!
► STEP 2; Tag around and get a feel for your characters, whether you're just voice testing or planning to actually app them in!
► STEP 3; Post this all over your plurk and get people to join in on this jolly good fun. Don't forget: it's mandatory.
copypasting and whatnot

yo what ,the fuckk/ is
[audio switches on, and the thought is continued:]
--What the fuck is this. First of all? You jack this thing from a museum or something, asshole? This tech's at least a century old, but I guess it won't matter either way when I shove it up your ass. Gimme back my omni-tool and maybe I won't set it on fire first.
My other stuff, too. You know the stuff I'm talking about.
Anybody else listening to this, 'cause I know you're out there: mind your own fucking business. Go back to playing house like good little prison bitches. Jack out.
b: action (around)
[there is a woman covered head to toe in tattoos in your town today, holly heights. she looks every bit the part of an escaped prisoner (maybe because she actually is), and she's acquired a handgun from somewhere (a store, believe it or not; paid for with money and everything).
she's currently lining up a shot. in her sights? a vending machine that has refused to dispense. the casing is already slightly cracked and dented, at about boot height.
she tried playing nice, buying her snacks like a peaceful citizen. now she's done.
maybe it's best if you don't try to stop her?]
b
That thing tried to hold out on you, huh? [ She seems completely unbothered by the gun, or how much of an overreaction this could be considered. ]
no subject
Yup. The fucker.
[a loud bang cracks through the air as she fires, and the glass (plastic? whatever) shatters. some little packets of things fall out, the rest kept in place by their hooks. satisfied, jack stuffs the gun into the back of her pants and starts inspecting her haul.]
Here. Anybody asks, you didn't see who did it.
[a bag of something cheesy is beaned in ryuko's direction. not that jack really cares about being ratted out, but anyway.]
no subject
[ She wasn't the one breaking it this time, even. A smart person would probably leave (is there anything about this that doesn't look like trouble?), but she lingers, staring more at Jack than the contents of the vending machine. ]
You new? I think I'd remember seein' someone like you before. [ It's clear she isn't being insulting from the tone of her voice. ] Most people here follow the rules too much. It's boring.
no subject
[pockets stuffed, she cracks open a pack of something that promises to be pizza-flavoured, sniffing at it.]
The whole paradise bit is bullshit, right? So what is this, really?
[something flashes in her eyes, something angry.]
Experiment?
no subject
[ There's something tense under her casual air, like she's ready for a fight. (She is. She's been ready to fight her way out the moment she opened her eyes, even once the initial panic passed.) ]
Seems harmless for now, but I'm not buyin' into it. A shame breaking stuff isn't enough to get anyone's attention. [ She's tried it enough to know. After a moment: ] Maybe we need somethin' bigger. [ Heh. ]
no subject
after a moment, she jerks her chin at her.]
How old?
no subject
Seventeen. [ Wait. ] Oi, but don't underestimate me. I've dealt with way worse shit than this. [ For what it's worth, she sounds serious. ]
no subject
Yeah? Way worse than being stuck in the suburbs? Well shit, kid, colour me real fuckin' impressed.
[the corner of her mouth lifts, amused -- but the kid's got spirit, she'll give her that much.]
no subject
[ There are two reactions to this: she could be offended, or she could take it as a challenge. The second sounds better right now, mostly because Jack seems cool to her shitbaby self. ]
I was beatin' up gangs by the time I was fifteen. [ And maybe it's a shitty life, but someone had to live it. She sounds proud. ] You don't get a reputation like mine by sittin' on your ass. Mention the Kanto Vagabond back home and see how many people shit their pants.
If whoever's behind all this ever shows their face, they're gonna have another thing comin'.
no subject
"Vagabond", huh? [swallowin'.] Sounds one step up from "hobo" to me. Still, everybody's gotta start somewhere.
[the gun is pulled, but casually; she's not doing anything with it except checking the clip. no heat sink on these things. it's like living in the goddamn stone age.]
Try Subject Zero and then we can talk. But it's Jack to everybody I'm not saving a bullet for.
no subject
Heh, now there's a title. Kinda feels like I'm meetin' a celebrity. [ ... Jack would totally be her kind of celebrity, too. ] Ryuko.
[ She glances down at the gun, then at (what's left of) the vending machine. Her usual method is to kick the shit out of them, but it looks like bullets work just as well. Perfect. ]
Nobody asked to be here, so I figure we've got a right to whatever we want. Anyone with a problem can come say it to my face.
no subject
and maybe it's the fledgling responsible adult in her talking, but jack kinda likes her. which means it's time to put her through her paces.]
Exactly. Still, go big or go home, right? And I've got my sights set on big. Like the big man in charge.
[she smirks, and it's full of the promise of crime. (responsible???/ adult????]
Wanna help me blow somethin' up, kid?
no subject
The other 5%? Is when she's dealing with people even better at causing trouble than her. ]
Heh, who the hell do you think I am? [ It's been way too long since explosions have come up in her life. ] More used to usin' my fists, but I learn fast. Just point me in the right direction.
oh hi
she's had this plan rattling around for a couple hours now. it's about as subtle as a sledgehammer, but sometimes a sledgehammer's all you need.]
You know how to drive? We're gonna need a few cars. And a nice big public square.
