[ A familiar voice calls his attention and, looking over his shoulder, he stops at the sight of Anise. Someone familiar - someone he knows...! He can't help but be relieved at that and, after a moment, he lowers the stick he has been using as a makeshift sword, turning around to walk to her. ]

Anise...? If that's not a ship, then- [ not the time, and he stops himself, raising his hand with the stick to behind his head. ] ... What is this place? I just woke up here, and there's so many strange things.

Where's Guy? Or Tear, or Jade, or-... where even are we? I never saw a city like this before. [ He's bombarding the girl with questions, but he can't help it - he's too confused about this, too worried. ]

[ Oh well, this was a good sign. He was talking to her and not hating her with an extreme passion. She waits until he finishes talking before even bothering to try to answer one of his questions.

With a deep breath. ] That was a car. This is a Hollyheights; different world, different everything. That tends to happen, the Landlord kidnaps people and puts them here in a 'new' family. Long story.

[ She takes a beat. Should she tell him that Ion used to be here? Maybe even others.. ] No one is here, but us.

[ Of course he doesn't hate you, Anise, but he probably won't think to bring up the subject unless you speak up. Silly. ]

A car? Huh... Guy would love that... [ For a moment, he's quiet, thinking of his friend's reaction, but in the end it was just an attempt to ignore the rest of the answer, wasn't it? ]

Different world? We can't be in a different world! Where the hell is this Landlord? There's things that we have to do, but-! [ He can't save everybody if he's not there. But, he needs to stop snapping - it won't help in this situation, and he can practically hear Tear scolding him for it, so he takes in a deep breath, his fingers clenching into fists at his sides. Think. ]

... Where is this Landlord? If we talk to him, maybe he'll understand that we need to go back home. We can't afford doing nothing like this.

[ Oh, she's not going to bring it up. After all, why would she. ahaha ]

Yeah, he'd love to take it apart. [ ugh, she hated explaining this. She wasn't Guy, after all. But alas, she couldn't get leave Luke in the dark. ]

It won't work. I've tried. Others have too. [ a beat, she couldn't leave it there. ] Time doesn't pass back home, Luke. I've been here for months.

I don't blame you and neither do the others. it's not your fault, anise.

[ if she as much as falters in hiding it he will reassure her he doesn't hate her. jfc anise. ]

... Yeah... he would. [ he misses the others - yeah, he's learning to think on his own, he's studying to be better, but it's still so strange to not have contact with them - find out that they aren't in this universe. ]

Months? That can't be, last time I saw you, we- [ Ion! ] ... It hasn't been that long... How can time not pass between two universes, like this? We need to go back, though. Or-... at least, I do. [ if Anise is happy then there's no reason to drag her along, of course ]

[ sorry, Luke, Anise has through so much this past months that her temper hasn't exactly been on it's best. So excuse her when her grip tightens on the groceries. ]

Luke! Listen to me, you can't go back home. We've all tried. I don't completely understand it, no one does. [ There's a hesitate pause. ] Not until they send you back.

... We can't... [ He's still trying to register how to think of it, folding his arms as he tries to think it through. He's not quite sure what to think about that. He's trying really hard to be mature and think and not be too rash. ]

... So... we have to get used to it. And, there's no way to get out... and no way to talk to the others... [ He rubs his temples, letting out a small sigh ]

[ Anise can't help but smile, not everyone tried to make it this well. She really gave him kudous. Still, she did have groceries that needed to be put away so she waves him to wave with her. ]
