[Shopping isn't something Cheren really enjoyed doing, unless it was for books or something along those lines. But when he needed something, he needed something and there was no getting around that. Like today, with the weather getting warmer, he decided he needed warmer clothing than what he'd had for the past few months. And he was rather focused on that task until he noticed that girl and her Delphox looking in at various stores.

Not that he knows what a Delphox is or anything, he's never seen anything quite like that before. But it has his attention, that's for sure.]

Excuse me. That... wouldn't happen to be a Pokemon with you, would it?

[customizing]

[Argh, that hat and that scarf don't go with those pants, and everything in this window display is clashing with each other and--

If Cheren didn't speak up, Serena wouldn't have even noticed him and his staring. Yeah, having her Delphox out attracted quite a bit of attention, but both her and her Pokemon have gotten used to it. More or less.

But that P-word is like catnip to Serena's ears and both girls turn toward the speaker. Usually, she constantly hears and talks about Pokemon with just about anyone, but here, it's so rare and her jaw drops in surprise.]

Wait, you... you know about Pokemon?!

[stoutland]

[He takes that as a yes, this thing is a Pokemon. But either way, Cheren nods and reaches for Serperior's Pokeball, letting the Grass-type out to see what all this was about. He's sure Serperior would be interested in a Pokemon he's probably never seen before, too.]

My name's Cheren, I'm a Gym Leader from the Unova region, and this is Serperior.

I can't say I've seen a Pokemon like that before. What's its name?

[customizing]

[Serena herself gasps at the sight of the ball, an absolutely giddy expression on her face. Oh man, another trainer. She thought she was the only one here!

...And a Gym Leader no less?! Oh wow.]

Nice to meet you, Gym Leader Cheren. I'm Serena, and this is Delphox. She's my first Pokemon that I've ever had! [Said fire type will be examining the grass snake carefully.]

I think I've heard of Unova before, but it's kinda far from Kalos.

[stoutland]

[Gym Leaders, Champions, whoever the other Trainers might be, Cheren is happy to see more around. It's a nice change from having very few people that know what Pokemon are.]

It is, yeah. I've never been to Kalos myself; I suppose that's why Delphox is unfamiliar to me.

It's nice to meet you, though. Serperior would agree, I'm sure. [Even if he... doesn't look all that impressed. Most of that is just how his face rests, okay.]

[customizing]

[No kidding! It gets tiring after having to explain everything multiple times, especially when Delphox feels the need to play tricks on people. Jeez.]

Mmmhmm. I think I've heard of Serperiors, or... that would be Snivies, I think? But not much about them. They're definitely not found in the wild, or even naturally in Kalos.

I'm sure he does! [She's beaming at the big snake too, while Delphox is going to size him up. You look awfully smug and pompous there buddy.]

[stoutland]

[Smug and pompous is the default state for a spoiled giant grass snake, unfortunately. He sees no reason to change his attitude, he's perfectly greathe way he is.]

Snivy is the most basic form, yeah. Can you find other Pokemon that are native to Unova in the Kalos region? I know that because of its distance from places like Kanto and Johto, it's difficult to find them there, but I haven't heard much about Kalos.

[customizing]

[Maybe he will when Delphox is done with him.

The fox whips out her trusty stick from her sleeve-like fur. The end doesn't light up like normal, but she will wink at him and wag it in his face, using a little Confusion to move around a nearby garbage can to follow Serperior's movements. Not a fearsome move by any means, but if she can just mess with him a little...

Serena is perfectly oblivious to her Pokemon's antics, cupping her chin with a hand as she thinks.] Well, I haven't studied a lot of Pokémon habitats or anything. I know that Squirtle, Charmander and Bulbasaur aren't native to Kalos. And Ditto-- I got one in a trade before. [Racking her brain now for just any info on Pokémon.] Mienfoo, Axew, Aron no, wait I don't think that one ...oh! Pansage! I think they count.

[stoutland]

[If anything, he will likely just be irritated and still stuck up. He's not sure what that stick is all about, but that garbage can? That needs to not. With his vines, Serperior reaches out and holds that garbage can down and in place. At least he hasn't put it over Delphox's head, that's a start...]

Those last few minus Aron are, yeah. So I guess Kalos does have some. You're in a better position than some of the other Trainers here in terms of species you're familiar with if that's the case.

[customizing]

[The stick is just a trick, though this Delphox likes to use it as a distraction as well as a wand. But, ah, Serperior's that fussy is he? Perfect. She'll just send a little fire ball into the opening and see how he handles the heat.

He's more than welcome to dump it on her head any time.]

I suppose. [She laughs nervously, intertwining a hand through some of her hair.] Like I said, I haven't really studied it before, but you're more than welcome to check out my Pokedex if you want. The only one I know for 100% is Squirtle and that's cause Professor Sycamore gave him to me.

[It does make her wonder though.] What's Unova like?

[stoutland]

I'd like that, if you don't mind. It'll be interesting to see more about the Pokemon from Kalos, as well. We don't hear much about them back in Unova.

It's a bit difficult to describe all of Unova at once. There are many different landscapes, it's not really possible to describe all of it at once.

[There's cities, volcanoes, frozen craters, beach towns, you name it. Unova's a fascinating place. But before he can finish responding, he's kind of distracted by a certain something.

As probably expected out of a Grass-type, Serperior is not amused by that fire at all. He glances at the fireball out of the corner of his eye before looking straight back at Delphox. Serperior takes that can and lifts it up and over Delphox's head before drawing himself up and looking positively above all this nonsense.

Cheren catches that last bit and obviously he's not all that pleased with his grass snake's behavior. plz play nice with other Pokemon.]

Serperior, that's not nice.

[customizing]

Yeah! That be fine with me, although I wouldn't mind learning a bit about Unova and other regions myself. [She winks playfully, rather hoping that Cheren had a Pokedex or something similar himself. She knows that sometimes some Gym Leaders go on their own journey, but do they even have Pokedexes?

She nods automatically, thinking of how she would describe Kalos if asked. Beautiful as it was, it wasn't quite as large as Unova might be, but it had its beauty and its wonderful landmarks. Except for that giant crater in Geosenge Town...

Her attention is drawn to the Pokémon when she sees him distracted by them. Turning around, she gasps at the half-floating, half-suspended garbage can, but its not the placement of it that bothers her. Nope, the fact that the contents of the can are on fire is a clear sign that her Pokémon started these silly shenanigans.

Delphox plz. Don't be such a pranking prick. Although, the fire type doesn't seem to like the snake's attitude any better now, with how her inner ear fur is flaming up.]

Delly!! Really, this isn't nice! Put it out! [And turning back to the Gym Leader. Argh, this is some impression she's making.] Don't blame him. She just likes to test other people's patience with tricks and pranks.

[stoutland]

[He does have a Pokedex, of course. The only problem is that he doesn't have his Pokedex here. He would ask for it back, but why would he waste an ask for his Pokedex when he could get another Pokemon back? Maybe when he had six, then he'd do it. But for now, no.

Serena might say that it's Delphox's fault, but for now, for the sake of keeping the peace, Cheren recalls Serperior. If he's there, neither of them can cause trouble, right?]

It's fine, don't worry. Some Pokemon are like that. Serperior's just... he doesn't have much tolerance for that sort of thing.

[customizing]

[True enough. Serena would make the same call. Having a Pokedex is one thing, showing off the Pokémon? A completely different and wiser choice. Then it might be easier to explain things like the Fairy type.

She opens her mouth to protest when she sees Serperior be recalled, but she has no right or place to get him to change his mind. Its not fair that her ridiculous fox caused him to be returned. The girl gives her partner a small glare, and all Delphox does in return is shrug and put out the fire.]

Yeah, but its not his fault... [She smiles, but its more apologetic than anything.] But, I understand. My Gogoat's the same way with her. Funny how some of them just don't get along, huh?

[stoutland]

[Serperior would get over it, he's sure. And as far as he's concerned, Delphox was out first, so Delphox has first priority here for now. But that's not really on his mind anymore. Instead, what he's focused on is:]

Gogoat? Is that another Kalos-only Pokemon?
