17. It's more advantageous for swimmers to be tall. Is it the same for cyclists...?

Um, sort of? I haven't talked about it a lot with the other members, but leg muscle seems to be what's most important! Taller bike riders can block the wind for the people behind them and make it easier for them to ride in a team, but my friend Naruko-kun is my height and he's a sprinter. That means he's one of the fastest riders on flats! They called him 'Naniwa's Speed Man' when he still lived in Osaka. So I don't think it really matters...?

How is height important in swimming?

[he seems to perk up quite a bit at all that tl;dr about SPOARTS, because he is all about that]

Huh. What kind of cyclist are you, a climber? -- Ah, height in swimming is useful 'cuz your reach and kick are extended and more powerful, if you've got longer arms and legs than the guy in the lane next to you. It's not everything, but it helps a little.

That makes sense. So you want to be taller so you can swim faster and reach further in the pool. I haven't actually seen a swimming competition before, but they must be intense, especially if you're a shorter swimmer.

And yeah, I'm a climber! Climbing hills on my bike is one of my favorite things to do.
