i came out to have a good time and i am honestly feeling so attacked right now

HOW IT WORKS:
► STEP 1 | Post a comment with a character that's not in HH as if they're already in the setting; alternative version, post character who is in HH. Scenarios if you need 'em!
► STEP 2 | Tag around and get a feel for your characters, whether you're just voice testing or planning to actually app them in!
► STEP 3 | Post this all over your plurk and get people to join in on this jolly good fun. Don't forget: it's mandatory.
the copypasta life

And that is all? There is no reason except for us to take a vacation in some squalid suburbia?
no subject
[That wasn't supposed to be a question, but her relief at the tone shift mixes with confusion and makes it sound like one.]
I mean... sometimes the landlord will play stupid pranks, or assign us jobs, but... nothing bad usually happens.
no subject
[ She sniffs a brief, disbelieving noise through her nose. Nothing bad 'usually' happens is the same kind of terminology she heard around the Progenitor virus only causing 'a few' fatalities. ]
I would speak to this landlord, then. My time is precious, and I cannot afford to waste it indulging their games.
no subject
[She glances downward, seeming rather upset about something. ... And then blushes and turns away because god woman what is with that outfit?
Like she can talk.]... No one's ever really seen him.
[Hands demurely folded over her lap and still looking ever so meek and awkward, she reluctantly meets Excella's gaze again.]
Th-that is... he only talks through messages. I'm not even sure he's really here...
no subject
She hm's again - a short, sharp sound. One of those, eh? Someone is playing a sick game with her and the rest of these people. ]
I see someone has been reading too much Orwell. Is there nothing to be done, then, except wait?
no subject
[Yeah, that name means nothing to her, so she's just going to look confused for a second before moving on.]
Well... pretty much? No one's ever really figured anything else out...
[Realizing how that sounds, she suddenly brightens up, rushing to add a silver lining.]
But people get sent back all the time! So it's not like we're all stuck forever! And... if you need anything, I might be able to help!
[Finally she takes a breath, but it's not much of a pause.]
The, uh... house I'm assigned to is right over there, by the way. ... Just in case...
[And she motions to a house in the distance. In the direction Excella just came from. ... In fact, it's the very same lawn where she would have woken up.]
no subject
[ The sarcasm. It drips. She turns her head to follow Natsuru's finger, and... ]
You must be joking.
no subject
... Is something wrong?
[It's just a house like any other on the street, isn't it?]
no subject
This - [ a flourish towards the house ] - is unacceptable.
no subject
[She feels like she's missing something here, but she has no idea what.]
no subject
no subject
[Wait a second...]
H-hold on... you're...?! Y-you mean we're...?!
no subject
[ She flicks her hand again, as if dismissing Natsuru. ]
Find me something better.
no subject
and Natsuru pretty much always does what she's told to anyway.]But that's... um...
I mean... all the houses are like this. I don't even think there are hotels here...
[There are, but even if Natsuru knew about them, it's not like Excella would get much use out of them with the $500 she has to her name in this place.]
no subject
It is a poor substitute for a town, then, if they do not even have hotels. There must be somewhere better than this. Surely the landlord, if he is so powerful, would not live in one of these as well?
no subject
Well... no, his house is different.
But no one's ever seen inside it. All the windows are dark, and if you try to go to the door, you just... wake up in front of your-... er, the house you've been assigned to.
It's pretty hard to find, too... it seems like he really doesn't want anyone bothering him.
[She's never been herself, but she's heard stories.]
no subject
Evidently. [ She exhales, sharply disappointed. ] Very well. Then I suppose this must do for now.
no subject
Um... i-if you want, I could show you inside... ah, Miss...?
[She's looking for a name here. And neglecting to mention they're supposed to be "married". Which is probably the wisest decision she's made in this whole conversation.]
no subject
[ Very sharp. She might survive yet. ]
no subject
Miss Gionne... I'm Natsuru Senou. Pleased to meet you...
[Hands folded in her lap, she gives the other woman a polite bow.]
Ah... considering the circumstances and all.
no subject
Yes. [ She gives the house another look. When Albert gets here, she'll be sure to have the Landlord shot. ] Very well. Let us see.
[ She strides inside, heels clicking on the concrete. ]
no subject
[The sound of heels on concrete is very different when it's less a confident stride and more a scurry to catch up. After the disdain Excella had shown for the house, Natsuru didn't expect her to be in any hurry to see inside, but here they are. And she might as well show her around... for what it's worth.
It really isn't much, though. That much is obvious from the foyer.]
The uh... living room, dining room and kitchen are all over there. And the... bedrooms are that way...
[She tries not to blush at that thought, but... well. She already has two "daughters", and if Excella is her new "spouse", then...]
Ah... there's an office, too, but we haven't really used it much.
