So does... Ahiru every feel any sort of pressure of what it is to be a dancer ( like stage fright, appearance, etc.)? If so, what techniques does she use to combat those feelings? If not, does she ever see her peers experience stuff like that- and how would she go about helping them?

She does have stage fright and problems with her appearance, although the stage fright is a mix of both nervousness and realism - she knows for a fact she's still too clumsy and unpracticed to perform well, and that's the primary reason she tries to avoid it. Of course, that clumsiness in itself is just the product of extremely low self esteem; when she's dancing with someone she says makes her feel strong, her skill level is noticeably higher.

Her appearance is another huge one - the problem for her about being able to turn into a beautiful magical girl ballerina princess is that she knows she would never look like that normally. This ties in with her identity crises, because she wouldn't even be as pretty as a normal girl without magic. She would only be a duck, so she's constantly comparing herself to "real" people and what they look like.

The main method she uses to combat these feelings is realizing that she won't get anything accomplished if she gives in to all her insecurities. She feels that her duty to others is too great for her to give up, and she's a mighty optimistic little thing even apart from that. So even if dancing isn't her main insecurity, it's still something she's passionate about, and she won't give up on improving.

What are her thoughts on having a "family" here? Did she ever have any kind of duck family back home, or wish that she did?

/A MILLION YEARS LATER hi

I feel like she'd be much more eager to accept the family she has here if they weren't basically forced on her. They all seem like nice people to her thus far, but she doesn't like that she didn't have a choice in coming here and being assigned to their household without any say in it. She's going a little stir crazy here without being able to help Mytho in the first place, and being placed somewhere she has no control over on top of being stuck in this city is really pushing her "FATE IS BAD" buttons, haha.

As for her thoughts on wanting family! I don't think it ever occurred to her, really. Especially at the early canon point I pulled her from, she's more centered around Mytho and helping him regain his heart; she hasn't really begun to fully develop her own sense of self, which includes wants and desires of her own. I don't remember which episode it was in, but there's a scene where Lilie or Pique asks her where she lives with her parents when school isn't in session and she makes something up about living by the lake, but seeing as she doesn't dwell on it any more than that, I'm assuming that the lack of parents didn't really bother her.

We're never really shown if she had a duck family, but at any rate, she doesn't remember it; Drosselmeyer did alter her memories, since he had to kind of remind her that she had been a bird before. Up to that point, she thought she had always been human.

tl;dr's all over the place like a boss
