➜ Your character is going about their business when suddenly... oop, mistletoe.
➜ Double oop, someone else walked under at the same time.
➜ Maybe this is usual mistletoe and they can just joke about it and awkwardly shuffle off.
➜ Oooooor maybe it's cursed mistletoe and they can't leave until they kiss each other.

_{[ She let out a sigh of relief since she was worried there for a second that letting Ren kiss her cheek was a bad thing, even though she was equally as embarrassed when he kissed her cheek as she was with when Syo did it. ]}

_{[ Hopefully he knew where...so she could be careful like he told her to be. ]}

_{[ Her eyes followed his hand and then she finally saw it even though he had told her about it just moments ago. Haruka had been too flustered to even register what he had said, though the petting of her hair was helping her calm down just a little. ]}

It's o-okay! I-I just...w-wasn't expecting this f-from anyone. S-Sorry for...not paying attention t-to where I was standing.

_{[ Poor Haruka, even flustered by a cheek kiss. It's probably a good thing that no one had kissed her on the lips just yet or she might have fainted. ]}

[ New team...That was a good point. He brought up his fingers, counting out each of the members of Sohoku he would have put on the team. He, Teshima, Imaizumi, Onoda, Naruko....there was at least 1 missing if they wanted a six man team. Who was their sixth? One of the other second years? Were they ready? No way it could be...No...there was no way... ]

[He still doesn't think she's very cute. But he's been in this situation before and he knows arguing won't get him anywhere, so Makishima just decides to give up.

So he crouches down in order to kiss her, but instead of on the cheek, he brushes aside the bangs over her forehead and kisses her there instead. She can't always tell him what to do. :/]

[He can just close his eyes and he won't be able to tell the difference.]

Mistletoe? That's... oh! That's the plant you hang around as decoration and that you kiss under, right? [That's an awfully good explanation. He hadn't bothered to think that was what all that kissing was caused by. And wouldn't you know it, when he looks up, he sees a sprig of it hanging right over them.]

Oh, my, you're being awfully daring. Be careful, or I'll break your back.

[ Two pieces of shit don't make anything better. ]

[ Nico nodded, though this was still going to end up ridiculously awkward. No matter which way Nico tried to pace there was still that invisible wall keeping him stuck. It was almost like being corn again. ]

[ It's fine. She's used to being admired this way. She holds out a hand. ]

[ Nonon isn't any more pleased than Ryuko. She looks at the mistletoe and then looks away. ]

Ugh. Could this be any worse? Let's just get it over with.

[symphonise]

[ Nonon squawks and snatches her hand away. Her expression quickly darkens and turns ugly. ]

Do you want to test how many lives you have that badly?

You're really stuck, huh? [ He began edging around the outside of his imaginary circle, using the current distance from Nico to gauge where to walk. ]

[Don't throw him under the bus with comments like that. Makishima throws an icy glare at Teshima.]

Keep saying things like that and I'm going to put these in your hair to see how you like it. She's more Toudou's daughter than mine. [Not that he thinks of her as his daughter at all. Nico is just Nico. (This is in fact a lie).

That's as much as Makishima chooses to say on that subject, even though the next one is just as awkward for him to discuss. However even though he has yet to bridge the subject of his relationship with Toudou to Teshima, he figures he could at least be honest with Teshima. They're part of a team, almost like a family, and while he hasn't always been good at sharing his feelings with others he figures it's never a bad time to start.

As he looks down at the ornaments in his hands, an array of clashing different colors, he can't seem to help but smile just a little.]

...but I am. Happy.

[Dating Toudou was probably the most difficult decision he could ever make, but it was also the best one.]

_{[ While he knows Nagisa loves to see him freak out, he clearly didn't understand the meaning behind the mistletoe--or did he? ]}

[Why does he have to warn Syo if he ends up cooking? That really doesn't sound fair. Natsuki is growing rather grumpy about this whole little argument, and being stuck in place for some strange reason isn't very fun. However just as is expected of him, Natsuki's ill temper quickly fades as his curiosity has him looking up, and right above them happens to be mistletoe.

...huh? They're stuck because of that? But that doesn't make sense.]

That's just a plant though, isn't it? Does mistletoe drop something sticky? Is that why I got stuck?

[As he looks down though, he begins to notice Syo's face has turned a very cute shade of red. This is very, very weird.]

[Too bad Natsuki is enough of a ditz that he would not equate unhappiness to kissing. Kissing is a happy thing! You do that with people you love or really like, and it tends to be a very romantic thing. That could be the only answer to why she thought things were a bit strange.]

Yes! People do lots of romantic things on Christmas. It's a very good day for it, isn't it? [Spending time together with special people in the snow, eating hot chocolate, cuddled up by a fire.

Someone you love. A sort of fond yet distant look creeps over Natsuki's face.]

Kissing someone you love must be very nice.

I've been focusing on my training for the next inter-high. I'm glad you both are here.

<sub>[ While he knew very well that they probably wouldn't technically have an inter-high here, he still couldn't stop his training for it since cycling was his life.

He's also not surprised that they came in here at the same time, but the more he kept on about the mistletoe...the more embarrassed Imaizumi got. Though, not that really anyone who didn't know him well could tell since he wasn't really blushing all that much. ]</sub>

_{[ She smiled slightly as if she was trying to cheer him up and make the mood of the conversation lighter. ]}

Take it easy on me, Senpai. You're so mean. [ He was laughing though, holding his hands up defensively. It was strangely nice getting to have talks like this with Makishima now even if he couldn't before. They've both grown in ways since they spoke at home for either time.

For how happy he could be that Makishima found something that made him happy, it always called back to the phone call they had before. Somehow, at some point, something either had to change or be left behind. This was the conclusion he was drawing from all of their talks. ]

Was it hard to let yourself be happy?
