[Screaming inside.

Body tense, he stares at his hand ~~held hostage~~ clasped in Sweden's. His is so feeble-looking compared to Sweden's powerful fingers. When he looks back up, the sight of the other nation's glare intensifies his anxiety. Please tell him he'll eventually get his hand back.]

...Y-you okay there, Sve?

[Nope. Never. It's forever his.]

Mmn. [Nodnod. He is very happy!! H-Hand squeeze. Just a tiny one. How long are they supposed to hold hands? Forever sounds good.]

[But he needs it!! 8(]

[Time for word vomit.] Ah... this takes me back. I remember when we were young how you'd never let go of my hand. Obviously, your hands are a lot bigger now. Still, it's really nostalgic.

[He glances to him, tilting his head. Ah, that does take him back a bit. Sweden takes a moment to remember, amused a bit. He was always protective over him, even as a younger nation. --it's a bit embarrassing, though, thinking about that and holding his hand now. It's very different.

His eyebrows furrow together and he gives a very tender squeeze to Finland's small hand again.]

Very. [And his face relaxes just a bit, because now he's looking down at their hands. It's very different, but a good different. It makes his heart race a little and he hopes he's not blushing. That'd just make the embarrassment worse.]

[Feeling courageous, Finland shifts his hand in Sweden's to squeeze back, his sweaty fingers clamping around the other nation's palm.] There. Now it's like old times.

[Cute. Cutecutecute. He's going to burst okay. He nods, keeping his hold gentle, yet firm. Wow he really doesn't ever want to let go of his hand. It's not like they're ever this close that often. He breathes out, glancing back up to him.]

Still got small hands.

It's not like you to tease, Sve. [Nervous laugh.]

[HE THINKS IT'S CUTE OKAY!!! Gosh. He really wants to brush his thumb over affectionately but that's probably going too far. He's happy to just be holding his hand. Wouldn't want to ruin it.]

[Don't remind him of that stuff. He frowns, taking Finland's hand and inspecting it, bringing to closer to touch with the other hand as he keeps his hold on it, feeling the callouses.]

Softer than mine. [And they're... really nice. Not quite cute, but maybe... ah, no that's too embarrassing. Sweden is busy staring at his hand now, looking it over before returning to just holding it, bringing it back down.]

[He keeps silent as Sweden examines his hand, staring in the other direction as his face heats up.] Isn't there a saying that goes "you can read a person's life by looking at their hands"? That just came up in my head.

[Head-tilt.] Maybe.

[They already know each other's lives, though. He wishes Finland's hands were much softer, because then that'd mean he hadn't yet wielded swords or guns.

A hum. He's off in his own little thinking mode because he wants to say something meaningful. Or maybe he should ask a question -- either way, he can't word things the way he wants. He gives an unconscious squeeze this time.]
