Roxy on Jake: Roxy thinks he's a charming smug fuckin' dork. He has a casanova quality that beams from him like a fucking Edward Cullen reflecting sunlight. She finds it easy to flirt with him and every so often, may have had thoughts of "what ifs". But, that's all Roxy is made of. What ifs. A lot of the times those what ifs apply to not only Jake, but Dirk and Jane and even AR as well. I feel like she lives her life with a little bit of naive fantasy where she still hopes they can all meet and possibly smooch. She thinks Jake is a total hottie, but knowing not only Jane but Dirk expressed interest, she has zipped her lips and kept the flirting to a minimum.

A minimum flirting for Lalonde may be coy instead of thick, though.

Roxy on Calliope: I haven't had a lot of chance to express Roxy's feelings on the cherub, but that is something I hope to improve on! She views Calliope as a friend and notes she's super duper adorable. Roxy is a friendly person and means every word she has said to Calliope, even if she sounds idealistic and naive spouting You Are Beautiful No Matter What They Say Words Can't Bring You Down to her. Roxy doesn't know a lot about her history or hasn't nearly known her as long as her other friends and from a girl with limited social skills, it can be a hard thing for her to grasp Calliope anything but her normal friends! She's one of the gang, even if she doesn't speak with her much.

Roxy on Rose: Roxy is a bit bitter. The girl lives on TV shows and Movies from ancient culture (aka the 90s) so she was a bit sadden it didn't result in one: a drama 7th Heaven reunion or two: a lifetime original movie. Needless to say, Roxy is almost creeped out by how calm Rose is, almost reflecting Dave's view of Rose's personality. Maybe, best, she's mildly annoyed at how...collected she is. She seems wise and always uneffected by things that it leads Roxy to begin doubting herself. With elephant in the room known as I'm-Your-Mom? she hasn't had a chance to fully process that ROSE is HER mom, but always feels the pressure of BEING ROSE'S MOM. Roxy really wants to impress her and come off as able and collected, much like her. In fact, she almost comes off as a try-hard around the Seer because of it.

What if she was in Jake/Jane's time?
What if AR was a real boy?
What if Dirk loved her and not Jake?
What if her Mom was alive?


I think a lot of it stems from her loneliness, which she tries to keep hidden a lot of the time. In my headcanon, she plays it off with a joke but she really did wish to meet her friends and she really pretty much had crushes on Jake, Jane, Dirk, AND AR because she knew limited amounts of "proper" human interaction. Much like Dirk doesn't view being gay as a big deal -- because it's not imposed as being WRONG or different -- Roxy sees no problem in having feelings for multiple people at the same time.

Now since she's in HH, she's kind of still what-ifing.

What if Jane shows up?
What if Jake comes back? (I need to do a post about this next week...)
What if Dirk LEAVES?


And it all stems to her relationship with other people. Even to the Beta kids to some extent.
