1) IT'S A LITTLE WEIRD but it's... oddly comforting? man this is such a coagulated tangle of feelings it's hard to unravel with dave give me a few minutes to sort out my thoughts have some rambling in the meantime

he's happy bro's here, he's disappointed he's here so soon. he desperately wants bro to be proud of him, but he doesn't feel he's the right "level" (or, hasn't accomplished enough) to make him proud yet. he knows saying "JUST A LITTLE MORE TIME, A LITTLE MORE TIME AND THEN I'LL BE READY FOR YOU" is so fucking selfish so he really tries to value him just being around, but even just bro's presence makes him even more self-conscious (and we already know dave's self-conscious as is). he's jealous davesprite got to be there when he died so he sort of expects a deep connection for those two based on that experience so he tries not to intervene between the two of him, but he's so morbid and curious that he just... wants to ask about it and hear about it and try to experience it through what he hears alone. he wants to rip bro's shirt off and look for a scar, and he wants to tell him he was sorry he turned out to be someone not worth sacrificing his life for. he wants to tell him every detail of the adventure he's been on, he wants to reflect every pain and heartache through a glass mirror so bro can watch, or just pull him into his own head so he can experience everything he's feeling, but he's so bad at words and so tangled up in trying to be what (he thinks) bro wants him to be that it gets all fucked up and can't get it out

bro dived so quickly into... how things have always been? ie; hounding him, being a dick, etc., that dave's head is kind of reeling from it. he thought there would be more of a layover time where maybe they could, you know, bond (i'm really hoping that log keeps up because dave'll wind up breaking in it), that dave sorta feelings like he's trying to hang on the rails of a runaway train and that's pretty difficult but he's doing his best to just try to follow bro's lead, for the most part

2) not at all, really! he's used to bumping into himself/diff versions of himself so he's completely unfazed by that. but like i mentioned ^above^ he expects bro and him to have a pretty good connection so he just tries not to infringe on that despite how curious/desperate he is on the inside

3) fuck you keep asking me emotional questions

yeah he... definitely loves rose. there's no one else he'd be willing to face his death alongside, no one else he'd be willing to show all that fear in his face (not even bro really!!). he cares deeply about her, even if he's fucking shit at showing it. he wants the best for her, and he wants to be guarding her back and watching over his shoulder when she gets it. he's really fucking proud of her and will support her in whatever she wants to do and his trust for her is pretty much endless
