[ so we've gone off to the petting zoo for whatever reason!! there are loads and loads of cute animals... except hirato seems to be more interested in the sheep than any of the exotic ones. anyway!! whenever your character decides to check what the heck he's up to, they'll find him petting a particularly friendly sheep going mee mee all kawaiily.

[ right, so. people are creatures of habit. routines are one of those pesky things you can't really shake off just like that. routine is the explanation for why hirato is up and fully dressed before sunrise today. blame it on the old job and the hectic hours. sure, going back to bed is an option-- but on the other hand, it feels a bit pointless to go back to sleep now that he's all awake.
it also will definitely not do to wake up the other residents of the house. no, no. that would be most unbecoming, so outside he goes. it's still pretty dark out, but he's never been afraid of the dark. it's kind of foggy too, but that isn't really all that annoying either.
ooh, but he looks pretty shady, doesn't he? it's kind of suspicious for people in long dark coats to be out and about on a dark, foggy morning, right?!

[ it's a lovely day today, all sunny and warm-- though not overly much so. it's almost a little too picturesque, but that's all par for the course in holly heights, isn't it...? regardless, here's hirato outside some kawaii little cafe, a newspaper in hand and... two cups of tea on the table? or, well. one empty cup and one that appears to have gone cold.
at the sound of approaching footsteps, he looks up from the paper and smiles ever so politely. ] Got a bit held up, did we?

if it was some other person in circus, they'd probably expecting the sky to fall or the ground to open up. but since this is tsukumo, she's just - well, deadpan as usual though very much amused in some way.
she's brought a few of the sheep that yogi has acquired along with yukkin to the zoo in a form of excursion (because they need exercise too) though it looks more like a set of cute guards accompanying her instead. in any case - )

either way, the sheep decides to move on to greener pastures once the petting seizes. even if regular sheep aren't too shabby, they can't really live up to the mechanical ones.

she can very well see what he's doing and while the mechanical sheep move towards hirato and give him the usual baa-ing and greeting, tsukumo simply stands on the spot, bowing her head slightly in acknowledgement. )
I didn't think you'd be the type who would willingly pet animals. ( since she's never seen him pet the sheep at all, unless he does it secretly. and unless the members of the second ship actually count as pets. ) Or the type who would visit petting zoos at all.

while it's not the same as actually being back home on the ship, it'd be a lie to say he isn't at least a little glad to have a few the sheep here. it's been surprisingly empty somehow to not have any of them trotting around the house. is this how pet owners feel, perhaps?

( some greasy basement-dweller type guy tried hitting on her so she hit on him back...with her fists. in his face. which didn't go over well with his mother, who was obviously coddling him and his bad life decisions, so iva had to balance being a calm cool woman with making sure this neckbeard knew his place. talk about stressful!
