WHAT THE FUCK TO DO:

► STEP 1; Post a comment with a character that's not in HH as if they're already in the setting or alternative version, post character who is in HH. Scenarios if you need them!

Upstairs! [ She calls out, with the only source of light being the kitchen on the first floor, and then the illumination of her computer monitor through her open door into the dark second floor. It definitely smells like cake; yellow cake fresh from the oven, and also really strong coffee.

Hatate's sitting on her bed, using it as a chair instead of her proper desk chair, and also apparently using it as a table as she has two forks jabbed into what's left of the aforementioned cake. ]

Oh don't look so tired, it's contagious. [ Whereas this tengu looks wired for sound. ]

Well it is well past midnight.

-Momiji crawled onto the bed beside her, snatching a bite of the cake.-

You shouldn't stay up so late. It's bad for your health.

You're up, too. Just putting that out there. [ Munch munch. The cake's not bad but ... it's kind of hard to fuck up yellow cake from the box. ]

That's not unnatural for wolves, though.

You're still the only one here who's yawning. [ She sighed and leaned away from her keyboard. ] Did you really come over just to eat cake and lecture me on sleeping habits? I've got more important things to figure out!

Well, what are you working on?

I'm trying to figure out this "blogging" phenomenon. I've been poring over the posts as far back as I can, see what makes it so different from writing a paper, but it's all just, like, gossip or random questions or people being confused. [ She gestures to the screen. ] I don't get what the big deal is.

[watchwolf]

It sounds like what you usually do, just through these computer networks...

[ Staring. ] Excuse me! You can't compare this to real journalism. It doesn't come close!

... No offense, Hatate, but... -Actually, there was no way to word that in such a way that wouldn't offend Hatate.- Nevermind

Anyway, didn't you have something else to say? You made it sound all urgent-like before.

[watchwolf]

I seem to have forgotten... I guess I just didn't want to be alone tonight.

[thought_so]

[ A tiny sigh. ] That's a little disappointing, but if you remember, you'll have to tell me right away. [ It could have been important! ]

...and I don't mind if you stay, but I'm not responsible if you can't get to sleep. [ Though she's feeling a bit drowsy it's way too early to give up. ]

I don't really think that'll be a problem... Being around you is far more relaxing than with Aya.

I think that's a comparison I can live with. [ It's certainly better than most ways in which people put the two crows side-by-side. ]

Don't tell her I said that.

I wouldn't, like, rat out my informants. [ Though what slips out in the midst of a heated debate is one thing... ]

Good... Because I don't want to hurt her feelings. -Even though she regularly does so in the course of their usual arguments.-

Mmn. [ Hatate's only response is that noncommittal sound. She turns back to her keyboard and screen. ] ...she probably knows she's too high energy for most people.

[ Click, click-click. ] Like... she should anyway.

I have my doubts about her self-monitoring skills.

... You and I both know that, but I don't think she does.
