That I don't like? Nah, I'm just not very good at a lot of school stuff. I like history though!

Mm, they say teachers make a big difference. But--history! You know, I'm still rather jealous of your collection back home! And your adventurer father, how cool is that? ( he careful he is just getting started ) What are you studying right now?

Well, some weird history in class, but Kaito gave me these books for my birthday! I've been mostly reading about ancient Roman architecture. It's really cool! [ He smiles greatly at III ]

Happy belated-birthday! ( and wow, suddenly III is pinged and is smiling, too, and his body language is just voracious) Roman architecture? Is it all of the empire? And have you learnt about their water management systems? Did you know they still use some of the same public baths Romans build. And even then, those were some of the only public baths in Europe for centuries--and, ah, please, may I borrow them when you are done?

Maybe we could do a trade. I'll find something just as interesting!

I have learned about them, and I read a few other things! I'm done with it, so you can have the book when I'm done. It's really great to have something else that can connect me to dad.

Yes! ( Ah, and that reminds him, he has a question. ) Have you gotten your deck back, Yuuma?

[kattobings]

Not here, no. I wish I had, I miss dueling. [ He looks pretty down about it too...]

Don't worry, Yuuma. I'm going to make sure that Landlord-jerk pays. ( trying to be encouraging, but, man he's also pretty po'd, too. those cards were given to him by his father, not to mention how much he misses duelling. )

We don't have to do any of that, III. [ He looks sheepish, waving his hands slightly ]

I'll get them back eventually. Plus if I get mine back first, I still won't have anyone to duel with!

( but it is a matter of principle! and doesn't that sound familiar.) That's true, Yuuma. But, you know, we can't just let this alien get away with what ever he wants! What is he even using them for? Duelling?

[ Yuma thinks for a moment ] Uhm...Well I don't really know but I don't think anyone here knows how to duel.

So why take them? He's stolen what isn't his. From all of us.

( excuse him, he is just a bit of an avenger. ) But, Yuuma, what do you do here, without duelling?

[kattobings]

I'm not sure. I think Kaito's trying to figure it out and how to get home...I don't really know what Kaito does when he researches.

[ There's a pause as he thinks again ] I hang out with Astral, mostly. I've been showing him human things and helping him, but other then that I help my "family" here.

[roseatepuzzler]

( who does. still, he looks actually interested in that. he'll have to ask Kaito about it. ) Hmmmm, I'll have to ask him what he's up to. Maybe he knows something.

Oh--right, Astral is human here, isn't he? Does he really seem like one? ( as opposed to an alien? who knows. )

[kattobings]

He might! He's been researching for awhile. I think he really wants to get home to Haruto.

[ Yuma looked like he wanted to say something else, but he didn't. He made a face before moving on to III's next question ]

Astral's still kind of weird, and he doesn't know a whole lot about being a human. I think at first it was kind of overwhelming. He's used to being hidden and observing, I think, so it was a little much for him. But he's doing better.

I'm relieved to hear that.

( gestures with an open palm ) Ah, Yuuma, was there something you wanted to say?

[kattobings]

Me? [ He tries to look at blank as possible. ] No, it's okay. I just was thinking about home.

[roseatepuzzler]

( DON'T TRY THIS WITH HIM, YUUMA. III tries his best to not look too worried but. Well. Also he isn't sure when Yuuma is from. ) What's happening there?

[kattobings]

Well, I don't...I don't really want to talk about it, III, not yet. [ Yuma tries to smile ]

[roseatepuzzler]

Yuuma... ( oh, you're breaking his heart. he's so conflicted, he wants to respect him but also seeing him so burdened isn't easy. ) You'll have to talk sooner or later, you know? So I'll be there when you do.

[kattobings]

Thanks, III, I really appreciate it! [ He grins now, throwing his arm around III's shoulders ]

Please, don't mention it. ( any misgivings he has he elects to shelf for now. and anyway Yuuma is happy, so he slings and arm over Yuuma's, shoulder, too, and is pretty soon smiling. )

By the way, Yuuma, may I spend some time with you after school? I don't know what's worth doing here, so you'd have to show me what's what.

Yeah! I'll show you the ropes, and we can hang out! We may not be able to duel, but we can always find things to do!
