[Well, Thomas is a little bit too busy staring at those papers that had oh so conveniently had his name stamped on them to go out and about and explore the neighborhood. (It honestly doesn't look like there's much to explore anyways.)

But really, one moment he's watching Yuma and Astral getting their asses back from the Astral World just in time to save the day and in the next he's falling out of a chair in a place that is clearly not anywhere near Heartland City with a key in his hand, just to find some papers telling him that he's supposed to live here? There is honestly just one proper way to respond to that all.]

[Alright, if they are already forced to play house and happy family, then they might as well complete the illusion. There is something very important missing still and Thomas has every intention of changing that.

For that purpose, he has just entered the local pet store, while making a face of utter concentration, because lo and behold: He has decided to get a puppy and he intents to make the very best pick possible.

Nobody gets a say in this by the way, and if any of his house mates have objections... well, that's just too bad for them.]

Today in particular, she's eying the puppies in the store (it's like window shopping, except with animals, of course), a small bird toy and a bottle of fish food for Ryouga in her hands, when her gaze falls on someone more familiar.]

[Not the most intelligent thing to say at first. She straightens up, puts on a frail smirk, and glances aside to the puppies again, trying to seem unruffled.]

But it's hard not to notice her, because she's in a maid outfit courtesy of the horrible, scheming, conniving head of the Neighbors Club who has dirt on her too precious to possibly ignore.

She turns a corner, intending to duck into a classroom and rifle through her desk for something... unfortunately, she's probably never going to make it there. Or perhaps she'll get caught while trying to slide in? Either way, do your worst.]

[Honestly, Kotori didn't have any intention of going to the pet store today. But here she is, not at the confectionery and instead looking around and browsing the aisles, giggling at the cute puppies and watching two kittens play with a ball of yarn. It's really too easy sometimes to be lured in by adorable animals, and really, it couldn't hurt if she asks Bloom about a pet. It'd liven up the house, if nothing else.

And then she's rounding a corner and finds herself face to face with someone she didn't expect to see. (Well, at least not here.)]

he is already dressed in something, sensible slacks, an Oxford shirt and a kind of sweater vest. it isn't bad but he looks maybe a bit too dressed up if a uniform isn't required. )

[The pet store is definitely not really of interest to Chris, but he still can't help but glance inside every now and then when he passes. It's just one of those things that reminds him of his brothers...

So he probably shouldn't be surprised to see one of them in there. He's definitely not surprised when he steps inside and sees exactly what sort of animals Thomas is looking at, though. He'd always been so fond of their dog, while they still had one...

Chris hesitates before actually walking over to him--he's always a little unsure of how to deal with Thomas and maybe Thomas wouldn't want him around anyway--but no, things are never going to get better between them if neither of them tries. So eventually he walks over to stand next to him and look over the puppies himself.]

Mm, that's true. ( and that is. he looks a bit contemplative for a moment, and then brightens ) But here our job is to be good students, isn't it?
