( as of now Michael has no idea just how deep this thing may go, but he does have an inkling as to what his brother's purpose may be. he doesn't remember their dog all that well--mostly the memories are sensory, warmth, smoothness, a kind of languid playfulness, a being larger than him, Thomas' ownership. he appreciates that this is his brother's thing.

anyway, as Thomas gestures, his happiness couldn't be more lucid. as strange as it is, the gesture says I love you to him. he quickly takes up the offer and follows him in. )

[Damn right it's his thing, but with them sharing house and said house being comparatively matchbox-sized compared to any other place they've ever stayed at - not counting the submarine and well... places that Thomas honestly prefers to block out having been at - he supposes he can allow Michael some say in it.

He is reconsidering that thought right at the moment that Michael brings up the freaking jellyfish though, because yes, even with the card turning out fake (and that hopefully meaning that the Number 04 card is something more worthy of his special numeral), Thomas is still sort of hung up on this. Goddamn freaking jellyfish. They don't even have a brain.]

( but, sneaky bastard that he can be, Michael wants it to be 100% Thomas' thing, or at least as much as it can be, because for some reason that just feels right. it has something to do with wanting Thomas to be as happy as possible and not encroach on that, really, because he knows stuff like this has happened in the past whether he wanted it to or not. call it youngest-sibling-privilege.

( of course, and isn't that part of what makes them brothers? though, especially now with all things considered, this trying to be conscious of what-will-actually-make-my-family-happy is a part of his { attempt at } development.

anyway, he makes a kind of 'hmm'-ing sound because. well, isn't the association just a little unfortunate? he isn't that loud. he also doesn't look at his brother directly, seeming a bit disinterested, a bit distant, a bit aloof because Thomas is just making this too easy for him. ) And risk your own health? That's seems a bit beyond your normal limits--maybe a sadomasochistic, wouldn't it be?
