[ Okay, she knew this was coming. Especially since Mia is a doting older sister who cares about Maya so very much. And she knows all too well. She doesn't manage to say it right away, swallowing her words, but on the second try she says it. ]

It's... someone called Travis Touchdown. Oh, but don't worry, sis! I don't hang around him a lot and I try to keep my distance away from him. Sometimes I even camp outside so I feel safer!

[ And sometimes she just goes to someone else's house, too. ]

[ It's one of the biggest reasons why she doesn't go, but it is not the only reason. Gripping onto her arm tightly, her eyes lower, not looking at her sister directly in the eyes. ]

[The best thing she can do as a big sister right now is not to scold her like she might want to, but to gather her close-- and that's what she does.]

[ But at the very least, she manages to crack a small smile. She understands what her older sister means by that. Taking deep breaths, she finally musters enough courage to ask. ]

That means you'll let me stay at your place, right, sis?

[Giving her a coy smile, Mia slips her hands up to Maya's head and gives her hair a ruffle before pressing a kiss to her sister's forehead. She hasn't been able to do so in a long while, and it's a little surreal.]

[ Maya laughs lightly as her smile widens, looking pretty cheerful for a moment or two, before recalling something. Oops, it seems that some vital information kind of.... well, slipped her mind. ]

Well then, sis, you don't mind me bringing two others with me, do you?
