'tis the season to drive like crazy FA LA LA LA LA, LA LA LA LA

WHAT DO:
► STEP 1; Post a comment with a character that's not in HH as if they're already in the setting or alternative version, post character who is in HH. Scenarios if you need them!
► STEP 2; Tag around and get a feel for your characters, whether or not you're voice testing or planning to actually app them in!
► STEP 3; Post this all over your plurk, tell your friends, drag them over here and get them to join in the crazy. Or else. And most importantly, have fun, profit, and tell even more friends!

death — the sandman
[ Good afternoon, Holly Heights. You're treated to a video of the inside of a closet, only instead of clothes, there are... hats. Several, in fact. A couple of seconds later, the video moves and you see the face of a pale young woman with dark, dark hair, and some sort of mark near her eye. She holds up a certain hat in her free hand, holding it up for everyone to see. ]
So a top hat or a bowler hat? Can't really decide which to wear going out.
( option b. )
[ Dee here is at the park playing fetch with a dog who looks like Barnabas, formerly Destruction's, but now Delirium's. ]
Good boy! C'mon, one more time, then you'll get a treat, okay?
( option c. )
[ FREE FOR ALL, OPEN TO ALL ]
B
While the owner himself is seated on a bench several paces from this particular patch of park with a book, the other dog is curious about Dee's dog and will try to play with him.]

Hey, do you know where I can get a glass of water here?
April Ludgate | Parks and Recreation
Fantastic news! Your friend is safe... for the moment.
Bring a ransom of a hundred gazillion dollars in rolls of quarters to the cabin in the middle of the woods if you want them back alive.
If you don't comply with my demands I'll cook their flesh into a stew and send it to your house in several tupperwares.
You have seven days.
[... she's bored.]
B ; network text
what do you think is a good name for a dog
if you suggest something like Spot or Fido I'll find you and cut your ears off
[Mind you, she's not asking because she needs to name a dog. She can come up with perfectly fine names herself; it's just out of sheer boredom (and maybe a little curiosity) that she's asking the general population.]
C ; action
[The library is supposed to be a place for solitude and silence, and of course, reading. April apparently thinks otherwise because she's currently building a large fortress out of books. It's a pretty impressive structure, actually, with four turrets and sturdy walls made out of the thicker tomes. The empty shelves nearby speak volumes (ha ha) of her efforts.
She's barricaded herself inside the fortress, stacking more books onto the walls to fortify them.
Does anybody dare stop her?? Or try to join in?? Mind that sign taped to one of the book-walls; Beware of Dog. Huh.]
D ; wild card
[Come up with whatever else you want!]

junpei hyuuga || kuroko no basuke
So here's Hyuuga, shooting baskets even though it's drizzling. It looks like he's bought out all the basketballs this place has, because there's balls everywhere.
A shot. He makes it. (Of course he does) and the ball rolls out of the court. It doesn't really matter, because he's got a few more left. ]
[[ ooc: or feel free to start your own prompt o/ ]]

It wasn't too far, just rolling against Teppei's foot as he grips it in one hand. Taking a moment to examine it, Hyuuga, and then back to the ball once more. ]
Are you practicing by yourself? That's not fun at all! [ A bounce of the ball, finally making his way into the boy's peripherals. ]
Mind if I join?

Jansen Friedh | Lost Odyssey
This place is just amazing! I've never seen anything like this thing before. What's it called? Um, I mean the thing I'm talking to, not this place. And the free food, and free money, why I can drink all the beer I want. This is so much better than some dungeon even if I really did want to meet the queen.
[Someone definitely isn't quite understanding things.]
So where can I meet some women?
B: Action - Pleasure and Shopping Gates
[Or if network isn't your cup of tea, feel free to catch Jansen during his shopping. He's looking for clothes in his usual bright and garish sort of style, or maybe catch him when he discovers the awesomeness that is porn. Or maybe catch him in a bar drinking some cheap beer. Up to you as to where you want to have your character meet up with the goofball black mage.]
Mia Fey | Ace Attorney | usin' the scenarios from the post!
[This place is completely strange-- and you know what the best thing to do is when you're new! That's right; it's time to investigate and look for clues. That's what Mia's up to, though she's doing her best to make it look like she's doing nothing more than taking a leisurely stroll.
Every few paces or so, however, she'll stop, inspecting a house or a tree or a gate with her finger to her lips.]
None of this makes any sense...
[A sigh, and Mia crosses her arms.]
[I guess I shouldn't be surprised Phoenix and Maya got themselves caught up in a place like this, but....]
Scenario 5
[You know? Mia isn't the biggest Steel Samurai fan, but she'd rather be watching that than whatever... this show is.
Hell, she'd take being back in court over this. (Not that it's a surprise.)
Rolling her eyes, she figures it's time to do her best to sneak out of here and find a bathroom-- or any place that's a good enough get-away. Don't mind her as she slips past you with a polite 'excuse me'.]
1
And his dog perks up upon seeing Mia and will run over to her excitedly. Person!]

tifa lockhart | ffvii: advent children
[What do you do when you wake up in a strange place? Well, you inexplicably find your bar. The bar you had, years ago, that was lost beneath tons of steel and earth.
Tifa is sure she's dreaming (a horrible dream), but she flicks on the video to her phone and pans out, so that whoever is watching can get a good look at the building she's looking at. Seventh Heaven, to be precise.]
Is anyone there? Can you see this? [Her voice is level and calm (save the thin, barely-there note of distress), but unseen, her grip on the phone is white-knuckled.] If you can, can you tell me who this building belongs to?
b. action
[She's pretty sure that there is some cosmic hilarity to be found in a stolen car (is it stolen? she'd been given the keys), breaking down before she can get anywhere in it.
Not that there appeared to be anywhere to go. Weird replica of the bar aside, this certainly was no Edge. The roads wound in circles. That said, she's sitting near the side of the road, the hood of the car propped up.
Her hand is covering her face, but she looks more annoyed than distressed. And it's snowing. She's not dressed for this weather. Hoofing it on foot was an option, but where could she go?
And where were Cloud and the kids?]
flies with option b
Excuse me, something wrong with your car?
[ in her time, the closest aerith would have come to tifa is by passing through sector 7 and by the bar, then popular and brand new. though she can't recognize her, being nearer to her now makes her feel as though she should be familiar… like recognizing kin, maybe, but intuition can be weird sometimes. aerith decides not to trust it just yet, instead reaching for her phone and thinking of whom to call for help. ]

You're gonna give me a run for my money at this rate, aren't you?
[ Said puppy barks happily in response and bats the ball back at him once it gets close again. ]

Ashiya Shiro | Hataraku Maou-sama!
[A young man appears on the video, looking surprised. It looks like he was just trying to get the phone to work, and hadn't anticipated what to do if it actually did start broadcasting.]
Have phones advanced this far in the past few days? [He only knows that humans use phones to communicate with each other. Yeah, this is a Lucifer thing.]
b
[This is Ashiya at home. This is Ashiya, making sure that everything is in tiptop shape, cleaning up as only he can. He found a nice apron and is very pleased with how he's started the living room, and is planning to move towards the kitchen--]
Ah. [He turns, to you, the
viewerhousemate!] I'm going to make dinner after I'm done. Do you have a request?c
[And then he's at the grocery store! Taking advantage of the welcoming committee's coupons, he's carefully observing each and every thing on his shopping list, to ensure he's getting the best deal here.]
...[Two for five? Or no, should he just get one and see if he can get it for the $2.50? That would leave him money for the rice...]

[ coming out of the library is a stack of books. or more specifically, a walking stack of books. that's... slowly tilting to the right. a hand shoots up to steady it, but too late -- the books tumble down and scatter on the ground. ]
Oh, drat!
[ Nah sighs as she crouches, quickly gathering up the books. ]

Rei Ryugazaki | Free! Iwatobi Swim Team
[If you happen to be taking a stroll by the town square, you just might stumble across Rei doing one of his early morning jogs. As a former member of the track team, his running is steady and methodical, though his breathing may not be as perfectly synchronized as it once was; his training regimen shifted focus when he joined the swim team, you see.
If you find him by the poolside, however, you might be treated to quite the sight as he performs stretching exercises-- do try not to ogle his perfect deltoids, though, this one doesn't need the ego boost. Once he dives in and starts swimming butterfly style, it's easy to tell his form is impeccable, though his speed still needs some work; he's still a relatively new swimmer, just give him time.]
Scenario B: the adorkable turbo nerd life
[Truth be told, Rei is not too happy about braving rabid mall crowds at any time of he year, but it's worth the sacrifice to get his friends some (late) Christmas gifts. He's put a lot of thought into each one of them, and he's rather confident he's made the right choices.
The real problem is, his friends seem to have an odd liking for... stuffed animals. And so here he is, gaping at the children's aisle as a large variety of plushie fauna seems to stare into his soul. Wow, this is so embarrassing. Hopefully no one will catch him!!]
Scenario C: freestyle
[ANYTHING GOES, SWIM/CHAT/TEXT FOR THE TEAM.]
A !
[rei's initiative and hardwork were a thing to admire, which is what makoto does as he watches the other swim. it took a while, but now that he is here the team is complete. swim team aside it was definitely wonderful to have their friend around too. the balance is restored, sort of thing.]
[the swim captain presses the button on the device soon as rei touches the wall and studies the time provided; waits for the other to catch his breath before speaking.]
Hmm, I don't remember exactly what your time was back home since we don't have the records here, but I get the feeling there's a few seconds difference.
[which means everything in sport, but for practice and training purposes it's as good as saying he's doing well. makoto leans over a little and shows the screen of the timer to the boy in the water, sure that if someone were to be familiar with the times of his laps, it would be rei himself.]
[a smile can't help forming on his face]

Tharja | Fire Emblem: Awakening
Except not really. She was teleported to this world that seemed void of magic and her precious avatar. On top of that, she was forced her hand in marriage to someone unworthy!
For right now, she's taking things slowly. And by slowly, I mean tracing down the aisles of the grocery store in an attempt to find a few specific items scribbled on her list.
She sounds like a mad woman, completely unimpressed with the high selections of quality goods. ]
Where is the eye of newt and chicken's broth!?
[ She's so disgruntled, at least she could maybe find one of them here... ]
Ugh. This is so troublesome...
no subject
still.. it would be even worse to let the annoyance linger and grow to frustration. the sooner her mother got her list, the better. ..she likes to think, anyways. but there's really no saying. ]
I-If it's eye of newt and chicken's broth that you want.. there's a store close by that is likely to have it. I can show you.. if you want. [ it never ceases to not make her nervous still, but at least she was trying. ]

Tenth Doctor | Doctor Who
[There's a new face popping up on the network today! This overly excited guy is staring pretty intently before flashing a grin.]
Ah, there we are! Funny thing about networking things like this, most of them work the same... Anyway.
'Ello there! Now, I've got questions about all this contractual nonsense, housing assignments, and [he chuckles as he says this next part.] there's the whole issue with the ball and chain sort of deal here, but more importantly...
Anyone see a big blue police box sitting anywhere 'round here? Y'can't miss 'er.
[B: action]
[It's not uncommon for him to find himself in strange places. I mean COME ON, he has a time machine and can travel pretty much anywhere in the universe and oh has he gotten himself in some weeeeeird situations.
This one miiiight just take the cake. Never before has he woken up to find himself with one beating heart. Never before has he not recalled where the TARDIS ended up. And it's definitely the first time he's woken up to find he has a whole life planned out for him.
He also finds this completely amazing, and he is a kid in a candy store the way he's exploring around the city. Waving to every person that passes, grinning like the little goober he is. So if everything he's read is true, this place... well, it's a trove of completely new people and experiences.
Hell yes he is all about it.]
Bit of a wonder, really! All of us jammed in here like a collections of the sorts. Y'think that's this Landlord's aim?
[Yes, random stranger, he might be talking to you.]
Or d'you think it's something more. [He grins.] Aah, way too many questions and clearly never enough time. [HAHA IT'S FUNNY BECAUSE HE'S A TIMELORD.]

Mirai Kaname | Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Children | Wrote my samples but testing doesn't hurt
[There is a bar. And at the bar, a girl who looks no older than a teenager is negotiating with the bartender.]

[She waves her driver's license, which does indeed list her age as 20.]
[Option B]
[Driving is no way to stay in shape, especially when there's nothing to fight. Mirai bikes around Holly Heights every day, weather permitting.
Here she comes now.] Good morning!
