[ See, Yata doesn't like this play either, but he's doing his best not to make any noise and unnecessary movements. Hearing someone whine irritates him. He's mocking his effort! He turns to the seat next to him to retort. ]

Shut up and watch. Guys who can afford to pay for their ticket can't complain!

[ Yata. Yata. It's Fushimi. ...nope, he hasn't noticed. ]

[ WOW. This insolence earns Yata a click of the tongue. There's something about Yata's simplicity that he can't stand and it only makes his blood boil. He stays quiet for only a second or two before crossing his arms. ]

Whatever, can you stop being so loud? [ ALSO, ] No one paid for their ticket.

This play is free. [ Despite how his tone didn't change from being dull as hell, it feels like his words are sharper. ]

[ He bristles at the mention of his name, and that's when he knows. ]

Sa-! [ Then he remembers they're supposed to be quiet. Right. That's hard, but he tries. ] Saruhiko? The fuck are you doing here? Why are you sitting next to me!? [ Suspicious! ]

—a-and I didn't get scammed... [ How much did he pay for this show again? It was a reasonable price. Probably. He was wondering why the line was short! ]

That's what I would like to know. [ He feels pretty cheated for being stuffed into a boring play with no discreet exits. Of course, he's droning out all the yelling whispers (only Yata is capable of this)! Even leaning the opposite direction ever so slightly to get away from being scolded. How annoying. ]

Right. Probably paid enough for a child's admission ticket. [ The line isn't the only thing that's short! It's obvious that Fushimi is trying to add fuel to Yata's fire!! He's trying to push as many buttons as he can to keep Yata's attention, uwoh. Please notice him. ]

[ Don't worry, senpai is here. ]

I'm nineteen! [ A chorus comprised of everyone one to four seats away shushes him. He sheepishly sinks into his seat, but don't think he's letting Fushimi off the hook for even a second. ]

You know, I'm four months older than you! [ He remembers. ] I've been eating a lotta meat since I got here, too. And I had my birthday last July, so hah, I'm actually twenty. Take that, and show some respect!

[ This topic has gone on for far too long. Why does he even care? Because winning is important, no matter how shallow and petty the victory is. ]

It's nineteen or twenty. You can only pick one. [ Listening to all of that made him feel like he lost an IQ point, but it's okay... It's Yata. He's also concerned about Yata attracting others, but it looks like they're giving him the shushing he deserves. So good that it doesn't stop the chihuahua.

Wait wait wait... Eating a lot of meat? What does that have to do with his age? This only gains a smirk because wow, setting things up for him. You make this too easy. It's convenient, but at the same time irritates him to his core. ]

Are you eating your meat with a complementary glass of milk, Mi-sa-ki? [ He'll kind of hover over him now. Not too apparent, but it's quite subtle. Please rage more... Fushimi wants a legitimate reason to leave this joint. ]

[ If he eats more, he'll grow taller. If he grows taller, he won't look twelve! The line of logic seemed more obvious in his head. Not that he's admitting he's short or anything! Fushimi sees that opening and rips into it; Yata desperately attempts to seal it shut. ]

Fuck off! I don't wanna hear that from you! It's true that I didn't start drinking milk until recently... But all those times you ate the meat from my bento took ten centimeters off my height, you bastard! [ He aggressively leans forward, gritting his teeth. HEIGHT THIEF. ]

[ Not reciprocating the threat (even though he could), he merely looks forward towards the play. ]

Eleven centimeters. [ There's much emphasis in his still voice because, y'know, ten isn't going to change the fact he would be taller. He feels like it has been a while since he had Yata's full attention... Yet it isn't the same, but this is good enough.

Yeah, he's not going to deny he ate most of your meat. ] It can't be helped.

[ He shrugs. You're going to be forever short, Yata. Twenty and you still look like a middle schooler. ]

[rollin]

[ His eye twitches at the reminder. Oh, Fushimi. Now you're just asking for it. Yata shakes his fist at him! ]

Aaaah! You're pissin' me off! That's it, we're taking this outsi—

[ SHH! The number of people shushing him seems to have increased... Yata sinks into his chair and tugs at his beanie. ]

[ WOW. At first he found the shushing audience amusing, but now they're are becoming a nuisance. Just when Yata is about to flip all the tables he's easily placated... Inconvenient.

Still!! Mission accomplished. ]

I thought you would never ask. [ Which is a lie because he knew it was going to happen. He has been waiting for this!! ] After you.

[ Except right when he says that, suddenly the spotlight aims at their seats. ]

[rollin]

[ It's unfortunate that he stands up half a second before the spotlight lands on them. ]

Shit! [ There might be someone saying something over the PA? His face flushes and some people jeer, but at this point, it's all gibberish to him, so... fuck it. This is what Fushimi wants, and this is what Fushimi gets. That, and the audience is just a bunch of mindless NPCs anyway!!

If Fushimi's been counting, Yata growls, then snickers, and a red aura surrounds him on cue. ]

Nah, you know me. Ladies first!

[ He attempts to grab Fushimi by the shirt and throw him all the way to the exit. ]

[ You've gotten soft(er)... Taking this long to ignore mindless NPCs!! Fushimi only gives him a sinister smile before taking a stand himself. That red aura that everyone finds so mesmerizing, the same red that Yata practically idolizes--Okay, so he doesn't have his saber! Not big deal, he can easily handle Yata hand-to-hand! ]

Some women would find that offensive, but a virgin like you wouldn't understand.

[ It's only pure instinct that he tries to block Yata's hand from grabbing him. Wait a minute... ]

[ This isn't Shizume city and he's pretty sure Yata shouldn't come with his aura only under assumption. If he doesn't have his own, why do you??? Wow. Much unfair.

Super shame.

Just brushing against Yata's hand leaves an intense burning sensation. Quickly retracting his hand, he tries his best to evade his hold, but alas... He reacted too slow (one second lag time is too much) from the mere surprise by how unbalanced this is. So there you go, Yata!! You have successfully flung Fushimi across the room and he's just on the floor.

Dying. Kind of. At least on the inside. ]

[rollin]

[ Let's be real, the virgin comment is what gets Yata to throw Fushimi at full force. But... Huh. It's weird how Fushimi doesn't use his own aura.

And that's when it hits him.

Yata runs out of the spotlight, out the aisle and toward Fushimi. After harming a depowered resident of Holly Heights with his aura that's meant to protect, he feels like the worst kind of person right now. He crouches near Fushimi to check if he's alright. ]

Hey, are you okay?

[ Fushimi's a friend first, a traitor second. ]

[ Tch... Someone is looking down on him again. How many times is this going to happen? But it's Yata--there are so many mixed feelings as he tries to get up on his own. Biting back everything he probably wants to say from how dumb Yata is to shut up. Yet at the same time, Yata is worrying about him.

Ugh. How sickening. ]

I'm fine. [ He says with much vehement and will be trying to get up on his own. He doesn't need you anymore!! He doesn't need anyone...! All the lies he tells himself. ]

[rollin]

[ Don't be tsun for friendship. Yata is, of course, oblivious to everything going on inside Fushimi's head. He just wants to know if he's hurt. If there's a hospital bill he needs to pay, he'll take care of it.

...but he'll worry about money later. Security's closing in on them. ]

[ Yata will never understand... He rolls his shoulders a bit once he gets up to check for any injuries. The dumbo did throw him pretty harshly--so far there are only sores. Good enough. Despite the urgency, Fushimi casually walks over to pick up his glasses that went flying during the incident. ]

You should already know. [ Cleaning the lenses, he puts them back on and adjusts. Security's getting closer, so he only gives Yata The Look and runs off ahead. ]

[ WOW DON'T LEAVE HIM BEHIND no, he knows that look. He pushes the guards away once the approach and follows Fushimi out the door. ]

Hey, I ain't done with you yet!

[ So he says, but he doesn't plan on actually fighting him. ]

[ He stops in his tracks, but chooses not to look behind him. An exasperated sigh escapes him... ]

What is it, Misaki? [ Since they can't fight, he doesn't see why Yata's calling out to him. In addition to that, he doesn't know what to do. ]

[rollin]

[ Yata pauses to catch his breath and for a moment, it's as if he doesn't know what to say. He only has so much time. ]

You can get 'em back from the landlord. [ His aura. Auras. Whatever, he can take his pick, but it would be nice if... ]

You wanna go back too, right?

[ He doesn't comment on the first part, but it's good to know! Unfortunately, he doesn't thank Yata, but I'm sure he knows Fushimi well enough that it is somewhat appreciated and resourceful.

God, the question pings so many things he's not sure which context is the right one. ]

I know that you're not the most eloquent speaker, but you need to be specific.

[ His reply annoys him, but he's not going to be difficult like Fushimi. ]

[ YO. THAT QUESTION IS THE DUMBEST THING YOU COULD ASK HIM... It sparks a light in Fushimi's eyes (well, more like an intense leer). There's just silence as he thinks about it. Won't most people naturally want to go home? Most people.

He doesn't particularly dislike his place in Shizume, but at the same time he can't say that he's attached. He can't naturally say that it's "home" or anything. Still, after thinking about it, he has concluded one thing. ]

Lesser of the two evils. [ Figure of speech. He knows the nature of Holly Heights only with the small amount of time he had before the play that... Even if Yata is here!! There's a chance he'll leave. Even if this place promises opportunities they might not have in Shizume-- ] No one does.
