KEEP ROLLIN ROLLIN ROLLIN ROLLIN

HOW IT WORKS:
► STEP 1 | Post a comment with a character that's not in HH as if they're already in the setting; alternative version, post character who is in HH. Scenarios if you need 'em!
► STEP 2 | Tag around and get a feel for your characters, whether you're just voice testing or planning to actually app them in!
► STEP 3 | Post this all over your plurk and get people to join in on this jolly good fun. Don't forget: it's mandatory.

And that was probably the most he'd say on things for now, but it might give her an indication of why he might read as a mix of both, and why if she listened to him long enough it would become extremely obvious he wasn't exactly militarily trained. Sure, he'd taken some courses, they were useful and mandatory in some cases, but he was certainly not related to any branch whatsoever.
Not content to be lead, however, he moved to fall into step beside her, a gentle roll of his shoulders indicating he wasn't finicky about where they went. Tea or coffee was generally good, except when it was bad. "So why not tell me why it is I'm apparently married to someone woman I don't know whatsoever."

Knowing that he wasn't military did put her at ease to some degree, though 'government' could mean many things. In this world or her own. Her guard wouldn't be let down, but he seems pleasant enough and that's really all she could ask for.
"Ah, that's not one I can answer for you." She turns minutely toward him out of politeness when she speaks. "Some of us aren't married here or have been in the past and are reassigned or the people they're married to end up leaving. I spent a month without an assigned spouse, then I had one for... well, about five months. I haven't had one since. I have mixed feelings on it, but it is a nice break to not have to fight someone for the bed."

At the least, he was an attentive listener. "I see. Too bad I couldn't have the option to fly solo."
