[they'll bump into each other on the way to the only open register, this time of day (there's only two registers but it seems like only one is ever open at all times though). makoto has a basket full of frozen ready-for-the-oven meals, and he smiles apologetically at the rad mister with the cool clothes.]

[notices it's fewer things than what he has, so...]

Sorry, go ahead please.

You sure? I'm not really in a hurry.

[and our purchases are both equally pathetic...]

I'm not either, actually...

[a moment to survey the situation, but an annoyed glance from the lad at the register has makoto nodding to the stranger, smiling lightly, and putting his things down on the conveyor belt, emptying his basket.]

No time for cooking though, right? I'm sort of in the same predicament.

[doot frozen pizza, doot frozen pizza, doot...]

Ah, yeah. I'm pretty used to it.

[since it was always just him, he's never been too concerned about things like cooking. the shop kept him busy enough he'd just swing by the store on the way home for something quick and easy. kind of like now.]

[then some frozen lasagna, meat pies, chicken pies, french fries...]

It's not so much that I like pizza, but it's fairly easy to make? Oh, right, I brought a bag--

[turns from mizuki to the cashier, to quickly getting his backpack onto the counter, putting his purchases inside.]
