[Even though Makishima tries to offer a small smile for Makoto's kindness, it looks strained and almost kind of unnerving. He's not very good at this first impressions thing. Never has been.]

Yeah, me too. Name's Makishima. [Scratching at his cheek, he glances around the area before glancing back over to Makoto, adjusting the strap of a backpack he's been carrying around.] I'll try and figure it out myself. I've got a good sense of direction.

[A part of him does feel a little bad at leaving the guy without much of another word. He's been pretty helpful after all, and doesn't even seem that bad to be around. At least he's rather easy-going and not too talkative, unlike some tiny spazzy cyclist with glasses that he knows... speaking of which-- An idea strikes him, and he waves Makoto over.]

Hey... can I ask one more question?

[what a funny guy. makoto's about to check back on his wallet to head to another store, thinking nothing bad of the exchange, when makishima does -- seem to call him over.]

[the smile on his lips should be enough to indicate that he's teasing, joking about. his expression reads as makoto ready and willing to answer any questions anyway]
