[Youichi is at the sports center because all sports animes all go to the sports center for his own practice as well. He knows he always needs work with his batting, so he has a bat resting on his shoulder as he walks past where Nori is practicing. Or was, maybe, seeing how he looked like he was spacing out.

Youichi decides he should disturb Nori's quiet time by approaching the sidearm pitcher.]

[he jerks slightly, startled out of his silence and somewhat surprised to see kuramochi here-- he really shouldn't be, he guesses, but he keeps being surprised to see familiar faces and hear familiar voices, even if he already knows they're here. but maybe he's just extra jumpy right now.]

Ah-- Kuramochi, what are you doing he--

[he cuts himself off, eyes falling on the bat resting against the boy's shoulder. duh, nori. don't be dumb, this might as well just be business as usual.]

Batting practice, right.

[and Youichi gives his usual laugh in response as he looks over at the pitching net.] Yeah, that was my plan. You're doing pitching practice, huh?

[It wasn't exactly question, since it looked obvious enough. He proceeds to ask more questions.]

So when'd you get here?

[the laugh sets him a little more at ease-- maybe familiar things could start actually being comforting instead of confusing?]

Not long ago, I, um, I've been trying to learn my way around but I just kind of gravitated here. [he huffs a little laugh through his nose.]

We all like baseball, of course it'd make sense for us to end up here. Hyaha!

...Just gotta make sure some of the first years go home to rest up though, I have a feeling someone like Sawamura'll literally try to stay over in this place.

Practice areas do kind of feel like home, though.

Gotta hand it to him how dedicated he is to improve though. [What, mochi's actually complimenting about the idiot???] ....Don't tell what I just said to that idiot, he's gonna let it get to his head!!

Entire team's not here, but with a bunch of us here already it'll be fine. Just dunno if we get to have any matches while we're here though.

[nori laughs a little when kuramochi compliments sawamura, and subsequently when he threatens nori not to spread that around, but he's listening still, and nods.]

Maybe not... but we could probably have some kind of fielding practice, at least.

You got that right. If we got at least three more guys, we could totally practice your pickoffs.

[He gives a grin with that: Youichi volunteers to be the runner any time! ...But since there isn't anyone else around at the moment, there isn't much else they can do.]

Oh, I... I guess I'm more or less done, since I'd already gotten distracted? [he kinda perks up at being invited somewhere for fun!]
