tdm + em; we're doing this now

TEST DRIVE MEME

HOW IT WORKS:

► STEP 1 | Post a comment with a character that's not in HH as if they're already in the setting; alternative version, post character who is in HH. Scenarios if you need 'em!
► STEP 2 | Tag around and get a feel for your characters, whether you're just voice testing or planning to actually app them in!
► STEP 3 | Post this all over your plurk and get people to join in on this jolly good fun. Don't forget: it's mandatory.

copypasta as per usual

ENABLE MEME

There are multiple ways to use this post:
  • PLAYERS IN GAME: post who you'd like to play next round or who you're unsure of playing, and then let other people auction your soul off at an affordable price gently push you into the direction of actually apping them come the new app cycle (concrete details later on that).
  • OR YOU COULD: Ask for castmates, be you in a cast or a lone canon warrior. Think of it like a kind of in game ATP ad.
  • IF YOU DON'T EVEN GO HERE: You might want to? If you do, feel free to post with your account, a picture, whatever you want and let us take you under our wing so you can be a part of our large, rowdy family.

    So let the fun begin!

[ Nori getting caught up in his own head isn't exactly out of the ordinary, but usually it doesn't happen when they're god-knows-where and there's no expectations from Coach to focus on, for either of them. He eyes Nori for a few seconds longer, wondering what to say. It hadn't been like this with Furuya or Sawamura. ]

Don't get too distracted, Sawamura'll manage to sneak up on you. [ Said with the dry humor of experience. He shifts to rustle one-handed through his bag and peels out his glove. Pitchers like pitching - and the back-and-forth of pitching practice has a familiar rhythm for Kazuya, too. ] The net'll be there, pitch to me instead? [ It's not a usual question, to be sure, but this isn't the usual place. ]

[pitchers do like pitching, and the idea of pitching to miyuki instead of into this net (which always feels sort of fruitless when he's not actively working on technique) is certainly enticing-- and yet he's slightly surprised by the offer. but then, who knows? miyuki has always been slightly gentler with him.]

Really? [dumb question, but it falls out of his mouth before he can think about it, and he grips the hardball he's holding a little more tightly.] --um. I mean, sure.

[ Well, he deserved that one. That's not exactly news, though, and he let it roll off with the ease of practice. ] Yes, really.

[ He pauses in the middle of setting his bag down, looking up from hunched over a little. He can't help but poke a little. ] Unless you'd rather stare at the net some more? [ (Really, he's been doing this for eight months, and he still has no clue how the captain thing is really supposed to work. Thankfully, the catcher thing is a lot easier.) He crosses to find extra space, his bag left behind, and settles into a crouch. ]

[nori smiles a little, bolstered by this familiar brand of teasing-- it feels less awkward than people being overly gentle or kind when they try to reassure him, like they think he's going to shatter if someone so much as breathes on him. this is better. he considers giving a spoken response, but he just shakes his head, clearing his mind, and sets up to deliver a pitch, a good low one that would probably have been a satisfying strike, definitely better than the pitches he'd been throwing into the net.]

Guess there's nothing like the real thing. [a small joke!]

[ From the moment it leaves his fingers, Kazuya knows: it's a good pitch. The kind of pitch that tells him whatever's got Nori's head in the clouds isn't the end of the world, probably. (The break is always too short when it is.) It lands in his mitt with a satisfying thump, and he smiles, at that and the joke both. ]

You can't compare the net to me, it's unfair. Nice pitch! [ His arm whips, the ball arcs back toward Nori's glove. ]

[he catches it easily, drawing his mitt and the ball within it back in toward his body. for as blunt and unpleasant as miyuki can be, he sure does know how to relax his pitchers, and he can't help but relax into this routine.]

Thanks. It's true, though, the net's too neutral, you at least tell me when I suck.
