[ Well, this sure isn't where Sissel expected to go when travelling through the phone lines! Hell, he didn't expect... any of this, tbh. He's alive and actually corporeal, holy shit.

( Is this what being alive feels like? I don't know what's going on, though... I guess I better look around. )

Slowly, he makes an attempt to stand up -- and he almost falls over, his legs shaking as he grabs onto the chair for support. ]

-- I forgot how to walk?!

[ 'Sup, your latest addition to the family is an amnesiac (former) ghost. And here he thought not remembering how to read was bad. Alternatively, you can find him stumbling around elsewhere, looking incredibly frustrated with this getting this walking thing down. He may even end up bumping into you! ]

[After encountering all sorts of weird things in Holly Heights, Fulbright's beginning to accept all sorts of weird things, but he's still quite skeptical about it all...]

Uh, not exactly... It's more like I don't remember what it's like to have a human body. Or a body at all, since I was a ghost before I ended up here.

[So he says, but he already believes the man. Everything about this place was impossible already, so being a ghost didn't seem as farfetched anymore. Was Holly Heights going to keep turning everything he knows upside down over and over again??]

[ ( I don't have the ability to use my ghost tricks anymore. They probably disappeared when I came back to life because not being a ghost disqualifies me from having them, or something like that. ) ]

Option A - bookstore

[ With a plain baseball cap on her head and pair of thick glasses, Mari makes her way towards the manga section. She pretends to be scanning the shelves, running her finger on the spines of the comic books. But she knows what she wants.

She slowly pulls out a volume of a magical girl manga, biting her lower lip in an attempt to contain a smile. This is it! She'll finally see how the heroine delivers a can of ass-whooping justice towards the evil villain! And it will be glorious. She hopes that it's violent.

Pop idol Maya Mari is a magical girl otaku. No one must know her secret. ]

Option B - If you're a man in uniform

[ Speaking of things that should be kept secret, Mari's fetish for uniformed men is one of them. But if she were left unsupervised when it comes to creative direction, uniformed men would be all she'd sing about. Hey, a girl's gotta have a source of inspiration!

So if you're a well-dressed man in something like a doctor's, policeman's or military uniform, you might have noticed her casting glances at your way. She smiles shyly once or twice. Did you notice her yet? No?

Well, no worries. Because Mari follows your character around until she manages to tug his sleeve. ]

This whole "the protagonist waking up in a different world" thing is kind of cliché, I think, but I guess it's a nice change of scenery... Ooh, ooh, will this be an epic saga of needlessly complicated plot twists?! Maybe there'll be a sequel, too! Like "Holly Heights 2: Return of the Landlord" or something!

[ She stops here, momentarily glancing to the side. Right, she was actually going somewhere with this post, wasn't she? ]

Umm... I guess I got kind of off topic there. Sure are a lot of humans here, huh? It's been a long time since I've seen so many of my own kind... I'm Hiyoko Tousaka, and I hope we can all get along!

[ Now that she's made her presence known on the network, it's time to start exploring and get the lay of the land and all that jazz. You'll find her around the housing district and once she spots you, she's going to walk up to you. ]

Hello there, good sir/madam! I have a really important question! Not "it's a matter of life and death" kind of important, but there's one thing I really want to know about! [ She's going to go ahead and launch herself into the question without waiting for a response, though. ]

Is there a place around these parts where I can hunt? Normally I live out in the forest, and I'm used to hunting my own breakfast in the morning and there's nothing like eating something you've caught with your own two hands, heh heh.

Oh, that's too bad... Store-bought meat just isn't the same, you know? Deer is so tender and juicy in the morning. [ She sighs, a bit more dramatic than necessary but she quickly bounces back to her regular cheer. ]

Fresh fish is better than nothing at least, though! Thanks, mister!

Is it? I can't say I've ever eaten freshly hunted deer meat! There's just simply too much for justice to do for luxuries like that!

[ It's hard not to notice his hair, actually. Dark, for the most part, and spunky in the right places that made him look like he had a pair of dog ears. And he's currently hiding. Although he's not sure if it's convincing enough to hide behind a bush in front of someone's house, but hey, it's Holly Heights. There really aren't many places to choose from, anyway.

He just wants to get back home, actually. But that option seems to be a little unreliable and not to mention, impossible. Because apart from the rest of the people he's met at the god academy, he's not so familiar with anything else. Not to mention the human world. Looks like he'll be huddling behind your bush at the moment. ]

[jyajyaaan]

[Maybe he shouldn't have chosen this house out of all the same-looking ones up and down the street. Because as soon as Rei spots the strange person trying to hide in his 'garden' the boy's already up and rushing outside, waving his arms like crazy as he shouts with all his might.]

Oh no! Not good! Not good! Please go away from there right away, trying to hide there is not good!

[kaaa]

[ It's hard to persuade him otherwise, and yet, as he's hiding so diligently, someone still manages to spot him through the bushes. Perhaps he should have picked a different place? But none of that matters right now because someone has spotted him and is already in his personal bubble--really, Anubis's personal bubble can be quite big--and is that shouting? By Ra, he won't be taking that very well.

And he leaps out. ]

SHAAAA---!!! [ 'No! This is Anubis's hiding spot!' is the direct translation, but it's not as though the guy understands him anyway, because sadly, the only people who understands him are Yui and Thoth. ]

[Rei falters in his steps for a moment at the strange reaction but then resumes his hand waving right away. There's more important matters than communication problems to mind here, especially-

-- and then the guardian entity of house 1472 overtakes him, dragging a long leash that was supposed to be attached to a peg on the other side of the garden behind it. Fortunately for Anubis it's not a big dog.


It's a giant turkey with the most feisty temper ever; one of the living presents the lessor had handed out to Holly Heights' residents as a Thanksgiving gift which Rei hadn't had the heart to kill yet.

In the turkey's opinion the case is clear: it has gotten to accept that it can't stay in the house and has to share it's territory with the funny-haired human, but a random dog on its lawn?! No way in hell that was acceptable!!]

[ Obviously that isn't what he had in mind at all when he saw the turkey. Actually, it's his first time meeting one, and odd chances are, he doesn't think he likes them very much. They're not so submissive and obedient, but rather feisty. And arrogant looking, much like how he thought of the other gods back at the academy. But honestly, what the hell is that creature?

Never mind that, though, this is much a problem as it is for Anubis to try to find some sort of hiding spot. There just seems to be an array of bizarre situations and activities popping up at the most random places, and even more so that that odd-shaped haired god couldn't exactly take in. He just spent so much time hiding (Yui had helped him out on that part, bring him out of his shell) from his arrival till now, it's hard to put a stop to the habit he had formed since so long.

Probably because of the fact that he's the god of judgement of souls? That doesn't matter, does it? There's a fierce turkey threatening his safety and he will do just about anything to get away from it. Or fight it. Or something along those lines. Like launching an attack.

Or not. ] SHAAAAAAAAaaaaa!! [ Distant hostility, mostly. ]

[Rei has been wondering what the hell was up with that bird time and time before as well and even now he wouldn't be able to say what exactly is up with it. One thing is for sure that it is, though: megalomaniac.

When Anubis doesn't turn and flee right away it stops for maybe a second before it stands as big as it can and fluffs itself up even more, claws digging through the ground. Letting out a squawk it tries to peck the god into his calf right when Rei finally catches up from behind.]

Oh no! You won't! [With that he tries to grab the bird that's more than half his size from behind and drag it away only to get a wing in his face for his attempt.] Ack! Help me pick it up and toss it back into its pen, dog-kun!

[kaaa]

[ Dog? Did it just call him a dog? Okay, backtracking a little bit, in terms of the fierce looking hen-rooster thing--the turkey--but what? The creatures tries to peck at him? It it for real? Like a hostile animal (as though Anubis wasn't before), he jumps back and hisses violently at the duo. ]

Shhhhhaaa--!!

[ Back to the dog part. Anubis is a dog god in all his god glory, but he's not exactly proud to have someone else call him out on that part. Especially with his hair sticking up like a pair of dog ears. Either way, brush past that part to face with the current predicament. The struggle.

Like he was going to help, seriously. Right after the vicious animal tried to attack him, too! He's going to just stare, or glare, hostilely at the stuggling duo. Because he'd rather not get pecked for real. ]

[Well, okay, that doesn't look like this one's ready to give him any help with this if Rei is interpreting his reactions right. He also feels almost a bit sorry that he automatically called him dog-kun, although it had only made sense to him at that time, knowing a girl with hair like cat-ears who goes by the nickname of Cat-chan and another one with a dog-like look going by Dog-chan. Calling an older boy with such hair... ears... looks dog-kun had been logical. But wait, what if he had guessed the wrong animal?!

His thoughts are interrupted as the turkey continues to struggle. It takes Rei a few minutes to get it properly by wrapping part of its leash around it before he collapses to the ground, breathing heavily.]
