[ There's nothing like some retail therapy when you've been kidnapped to an idyllic little town. Wakana is going from store to store, trying on clothes and picking out sweets to eat and generally just enjoying herself.

She may be having a little too much fun for someone who's been kidnapped to an idyllic little town. Even though she's clearly new here, she doesn't seem upset at all... ]


Hollyday Theme Park

[ Wakana has always enjoyed a good ferris wheel ride. Even if she has to share the car with someone else, it's still absolutely wonderful to be lifted up so high and see the park and the city spread out beneath her.

...Until the wheel makes a creaking sound and grinds to a halt, stranding this particular car at the top. ]

Radio

[ A brand-new radio show has debuted over the past few days! Wakana's chipper voice seems right at home on the airwaves. ]

And now it's time for the call-in portion of Wakana's Healing Princess. Is there something you want to tell Princess Wakana? Having love problems, or did you see something weird somewhere in town? I'll be taking your calls for the next fifteen minutes!

[Shotaro stops dead in his tracks when he sees her. What the hell was she doing here? And what was her angle? She looked like she was just shopping, but he definitely needed to keep on her tail.

Briefly, he reached to his pocket to call Philip. But he wasn't here. He looked sour for a moment before he got his eyes back on the mark.

Hopefully a hard-boiled detective in the women's handbag section didn't stand out too much.]

[ Shotaro is... not subtle. Not at all. Wakana notices him, but she doesn't say anything for a moment. Not until she needs to free up her hands to grab something else off a rack.

She marches over to him and dumps her current haul into his arms. ] Why, if it isn't Philip's partner! Here, hold this?

[tanteiotaku]

[He gives a shout and scrambles to keep everything in his arms.] Wa-Wakana! Uh, Princess Wakana! Fancy meeting you here! [Act natural, Shotaro]

[healyourheart]

[ Riiiight. Ugh, why does she always get the idiotic stalkers? ]

I didn't realize you were here, too. Is Philip around?

[tanteiotaku]

[He makes kind of a gross choked sound and his poker face is terrible. There's a bit of a sad expression on his face for a moment before he puts a mask back over it.] Ah, he's not in town. I'm by myself.

[healyourheart]

[ Her face falls briefly. If he were here that would be perfect. Just him and her, in a quiet little town as far away from Fuuto as possible. ]

That's too bad...

[tanteiotaku]

[That look on her face is enough for him to not go on the offensive for now. He lifts the pile of shopping on his arms and grins.] Need to find the dressing room?

[healyourheart]

Oh, that's okay! I can just return the ones that don't fit.

[tanteiotaku]

[Okay that's disappointing.] Oh, okay. [Is it just him or is this awkward?]

[healyourheart]

[ You showed up and started stalking her through the women's clothes racks. You made this awkward. She flips through some clothes, occasionally plucking out a cute shirt or other to eye up close. ]

[tanteiotaku]

[It wasn't stalking. It was tailing.

But it looks like there's something he wants to say, but he's chickening out on how to put it.]

[healyourheart]

[ Oh, that top would look great with one of the skirts Shotaro is holding! Wakana turns toward him to grab it so she can compare them. That's when she sees the look on his face. ]

...What is it?

[tanteiotaku]

[Dammit, this is so uncool.]

Ah! Uh... [Spit it out, self.] Listen, I know a lot happened very quickly, and I still don't understand all of it, but.... If you wanted to start over again... I mean... For Philip's sake at least.

[healyourheart]

[ The blankest stare ever. ] What are you talking about?

[tanteiotaku]

Eh? The Gaia Impact, Foundation X, all of that stuff. Since you helped bring Philip back... [Shotaro shut your stupid mouth.]

RADIO...

[reproducer]

Princess!! Please, help! I don't know what to do!!

Calm down, calm down! I'm here for you. What seems to be the problem, caller?

[reproducer]

The, um... person I like... I think they're mad at me.

[healyourheart]

Oh, no! Why would they be mad at you?

I sort of...broke my promise to them.
